Personally I would have started with Hyam instead of Leadprick and Carson in place of Murphy. I hope Murphy doesn't sign in the summer. While he may add a bit of height to the team he is predominantly an attacker and should add something in that respect, not have him on the pitch to help out at corners. Luke and Josh are supposed to be the future for our club, but when does the future for us start?

Wumming aside I feel sorry for PTC because I know exactly how he feels trying to reason with fickle fans after one poor performance because I am having to do the same today. If Jewell really was as inept as you guys say he is then you wouldn't be in the Championship anymore, simple as.

Or maybe these players aren't as good as you think they are? If these two youngsters were going to set the world on fire, Jewell would play them it is as simple as that!

Listening to Suffolk and the phone in there was this guy in the SBR lower who stayed behind at the end with his 13 year old son. He had his autograph book and camera ready and waiting for the players to arrive. They walked right past him and totally ignored his son, he was livid on the radio! Another punter who has left the ground tonight totally pissed off with the club and its players! This club has got an awful lot to do in the summer to convince the long suffering supporters that they are worth supporting next season.

They'll never get better if they don't get pitch time though will they DM. Every young player benefits from game time, just look at how Liam Trotter is playing now that he's a regular for Millwall. He was smart enough to realise his opportunities would be limited under Keane and chose to go somewhere else to progress in his career, much like some of our current academy scholars.

I also feel sorry for San Diego who is trying to actually talk about football but is just being ignored by me arguing with them or others say Jewell a clueless t**t, I mean I don't want to read high brow stuff on here but come on!!

Thanks DM, whilst I can understand criticism of individual errors/mistakes and evaluation of the match like those being made by San Diego it frustrates me that as I'm sure happens with all football fans (they're a fickle bunch) if we loose a game the manager should get the sack but if we win we're on for promotion, I geuss that passion is what people like football for. I just wish people would be more measure in their reasoning. The point about if Jewell was that inept he wouldn't be in the championship, I wouldn't be so sure Keane was at this club for longer & I have a funny feeling at some point some delusioned club will take a punt on him.

Yes it would have been nice to see some of the youngsters given a go. Hyam was injured however San Diego.

The club is rotten to the core, something drastic needs to happen!!

    PTC

Sorry but your arguement doesn't stand, this is not Keanes team ffs, its PJ's team, after a season and a half you can no longer blame Keane!! Jewell had all summer to bring in the necessary players but sadly failed to bring in the right players, had he brought in a perm GK and a couple of decent CB's we would have been there abouts this season but....!!
I think you will find that most will agree with that, after all we were all calling out for CB's and a GK!! It was that fecking obvious!!

I don't understand why Ryan Stevenson hasn't been given more chances. PJ bought him in January but has hardly used him. If he wasn't good enough to come into the team, why buy him? Whilst we need strength in depth we need to improve our starting eleven more importantly. When will this new future for us start?, it doesn't seem like we are trying to blood anyone with a view to next year.

Totally agree but it seems Jewell has his fav's, its a pity one of them isn't even committed to the cause. Leadboots should have been dropped as soon as he refused to sign the new contract, instead he has kept his place ahead of those who want to play for Ipswich!!

    PTC

Can we agree on something, Drogba is a cheating ****!!

Like I said a couple of days ago, it's getting to the point where I couldn't give a **** about ME's cash. We have made no progress since the money came in and our club has no clear direction. Clegg comes under a lot of fire but is he just a puppet for the faceless one. We need a coherent plan please.

But I don't think you can deny that how Keane handled things mean his mistakes will be felt for years to come, PJ had no base to build from, he had a few players on long term deals, high contracts, low morale it was a mess and we are now only starting to settle down from this. Yes PJ made mistakes but considering how many players he needed to get in for us just to compete at this level I think these mistakes were made more probable. I don't think we can judge really yet on how well Jewell can do for us atm, as JWM(sorry you'll hate me for using this) says I think Jewell has spent most of his time "firefighting" since he has been here. This is an extreme example but it's almost like saying Appleton at Portsmouth deserves the sack because he has taken the club down. I know the situations are extremely different but just trying to say, it will take time for us to get over the mistakes of the past. I'm not saying Jewell hasn't made mistakes but given the situation we've been in these were more likely to happen.

So Spanish if we get a decent GK and CB in over the summer and manage to keep our best players do you thing we will be there or there abouts next season?

San Diego I agree I think this summer is time for a plan. I'd say a 3 year plan to the premierleague to give us some sort of direction. Also I do wonder how much influence he actually has on the what he does or whether he is just directed on what to do. It seems strange that ME personally comes to sort out contracts, I though that was what Clegg was for!! Wouldn't it be great if we could have Sheepshanks, Klug and Rhodes back over the summer, I would be very happy!!

Yes I agree Spanish, Drogba is a cheat but a very good player. I liked how even the BBC said that he spent most of his time rolling around on the floor against Barca!!

I have been calling for Jewell's head way before christmas so to accuse me of being fickle is wide of the mark. The cold hard facts are that we have made absolutely no progress this year and in many ways we have gone backwards. The way Jewell is treating Carson and Hyam is an absolute disgrace for one thing. IF he decided to play some of the young lads today and we lost then fair enough we would have been happier to accept the result. I just fail to see despite all the evidence, the results etc that under this clown we are heading in the right direction!! It defies all logoic and makes your arguements look plain silly! To be humped by Millwall home and away with an aggregate of 7 goals against doesn't suggest that we are heading in the right direction.

The truth is that unless we sack Jewell and entice Steve Coppell to come here in the summer we will be relegation fodder next season! Mark my words, I'm not wrong very often!

I honestly think that if we bring in a decent GK and CB we will be able to reach the playoffs but under Jewells guidance?? No, thats not fair, if he can address the obvious failures of this season then there is no reason but will he bring in the required players?

Just like to add that i DON'T rate Chopra and Scotland!! We need a better striker but who, i don't know!!
