If anything it works in Sebs favour, they drop the car, they are unable to give a fair assement of the car as "it was legal before you dropped it and broke it yourself" will be used.

Seb is Bernie's personal favourite, nothing can happen to him while Ecclestone lives :bandit:

This doesn't make sense to me. Surely BE stands to gain more if the sport is close and competitive, why would he like a driver who wins races in the most dull fashion possible?

Seriously, Seb has made himself into the son Bernie never had; it's not business, it's personal.

I agree with what you say though.

Anybody think Alonso will even win a WDC in Ferrari? He said he wanted to end his career there also.

I do agree Seb is actually the Son Bernie never had, both his daughters are very, very spoilt like their mother. Having a grounded person like Seb around as a friend would create a close relationship between them.

He was reported to be smiling when Seb won the WDC in 2010 while he was with Flavio who was spitting feathers.

The dominance will have to stop, as it did with Schumacher in 2005/6. 2014 reg changes will do it. Vettel a 3/4 time world champion at best.

I had the same discussion somewhere else on here: flexi wing, no flexi wing, EBD, no EBD, rotary wings, no rotary wings.......RBR always find a way!

They are too good of a unit to stay down for long.

That's if Newey stays onboard though mate, he did like the prospect of designing a Ferrari didn't he?

I think engines will be the key. If Renault produce a significantly worse engine than someone else does, then RB may flounder. I can't see it myself though.

“With a mere ninety break-horse-power available, progress is too leisurely to be called fast, but on the motorway in fifth gear the Megane’s slow pace really becomes a pain. Uphill runs become power-sappingly mundane, while overtaking National Express coaches can become a long, drawn-out affair.”

Nah, he said on Sky he doesn't want to leave RBR as he likes the people there and has a lot of freedom. He's never leaving that place and if he did it wont be at Ferrari or Mercedes where it's too corporate etc..
