No , too busy for running! Lots going on though- I am off on holiday now- hope the internet is working!
BC can't tell his R's from his L bow. I always wondered what that meant when my grannie said it. If Mayor is as good for us as he was for Bury then this will be the coup of the summer. What I like about this is that Mayor had options and chose to stick with the man he knows and respects quite clearly. Could have chased a bit of cash but didn't so wants to be here rather than anywhere else. Loyalty goes a very long way in my book. Round of applause for both him and Lowe.
I think most of the Bury players are now elsewhere. Why on earth would the bloke who has taken over as manager even think about going there. At the rate they are going even if they stave off destruction they are unlikely to have a squad of anyone at all.
Argyle..........2 Mansfield.....1 Stevenage...1 Brisbane......1 So five that I can find. By the way I see that Charlton have now bought Ben Purrington from Rotherham for an undisclosed fee.
Rumours that we have made enquires about bringing back Caolan Lavery....who has been released by Sheffield U....spent last season on loan to Bury.....doesn't score enough goals as a striker personally.....career record...145 games.....29 goals....one every five games ? Ex Newport keeper Joe Day we're told refused us... and went to Cardiff to be No2 keeper....I assume no need to move home ? Striker Dom Telford...Bury is still being talked about....scored 20 goals in a career of 88 games....nearly half of them in the Checkatrade Cup....might cost us a nominal fee.
I remember Lavery and he was pretty decent for us in his youth. Don't blame the ex Newport man. Probably more money as a No.2 at Cardiff than we would have paid him as well as not having to move. Not much of a brainer really. I actually thought we might have had another signing today but once more the expectation is dashed.
