    It's week three, and some of us have yet to win a single penny. Will newbie Rory do better than the rest of us?

     TWEET SHARE (4) PIN
    Wahey! Two bets from ten came in for week #2.

    @GRokerReport lost a tenner again - only one of his teams on his treble won, and Jermain Defoe never scored against Spurs. @FunkyPhallus had more luck this week. Although Norwich let him down on his treble, his £2 on Spurs to win from behind returned £16. @SAFCSource also lost £10 with both of his bets failing to materialise.

    Although @Jim_Holmes_101 half time/full time draw/Sunderland failed again this week, he won £13.12 as his 'over 3.5 goals in the Spurs v Sunderland game' pick came in. @DjRoberts22, meanwhile, won nowt.

    Elsewhere, we have our latest addition to the writing team, Rory Fallow, joining in starting this week. Rory starts on £40, just like the rest of us did in week one, so it'll be interesting to see if he uses the fact he has more money than most of us to his advantage.

    Week #2 Table:

    Pundit Last Week's Profit/Loss Current Balance
    @GRokerReport - £10 £20
    @SAFCsource - £7 £30
    @FunkyPhallus + £11 £46
    @Jim_Holmes_101 + £11.12 £24.12
    @DjRoberts22 - £10 £20

    @RoryFallow
    For my inaugural bets this week I have to go positive with my Sunderland one. Patrick van Aanholt has three goals in his last three games and I'm backing him to continue his fine run. Betway are offering 10/1 for the Dutchman to score any time and £5 on that would see me make a profit of £50.

    Elsewhere a four fold of our relegation rivals Swansea, Newcastle, Norwich and Aston Villa to all lose to Everton, Watford, Liverpool and West Brom respectively gives me odds of 13.69/1 with Betfair. I'm placing £2 on that in the hope of an overall winnings of £27.38.

    Picks:

    Patrick Van Aanholt to score anytime against Bournemouth: 10/1 - £5

    Everton, Watford, Liverpool & West Brom all to win: £2 returns £27.38

    @Jim_Holmes_101
    Saturday’s game with Bournemouth is such a huge one for the lads, and big Sam usually gets things right in these encounters so I’m feeling cautiously optimistic. Jermain Defoe is our main man and if we are to win then he’ll have to be at the races. I’m going for a Defoe to score first and Sunderland to win bet, which is 10/1 with Bet365.

    For my second bet I’m going for a Premier League double - Stoke to get a point away at the King Power and Saints to get a point at Old Trafford. Southampton have looked better in recent weeks and the addition of Charlie Austin could be a real boost.

    Picks:

    Defoe first goal scorer and Sunderland to win: 10/1 - £3

    Leicester vs Stoke (Draw) & Man Utd vs Southampton (Draw): 10.93/1 - £2

    @SAFCSource
    Although Sam Allardyce has told the side that they must start drawing games, this game is a must win after results conspired against us last week. I think we'll get that win and with Dame N'Doye set to make his debut, how about a debut goal to seal a closely fought contest? Sunderland to win is 2/1 with Betfair and the same bookie is offering 11/2 for N'Doye to be last goalscorer, £5 on that double pays out £97.50.

    William Hill are offering 3/1 for table-topping Plymouth to win at Bristol Rovers, despite the fact they haven't lost away from home since October and lost only two away from Home Park all season, while Rovers have lost six times at home in the league already.

    Picks:

    Sunderland to win and Dame N'Doye to be last goalscorer (double): 18.5/1 - £5

    Plymouth to win: 3/1 - £5

    @FunkyPhallus
    I won money on the back of a Sunderland loss at the weekend, so to make amends I’ll be placing a more positive bet in week three. I think we've got goals in us. I also think any team who plays us has goals in them. I fancy Sunderland to sneak it so I'll have a tenner on Sunderland to win with +2.5 goals in the game.

    There are some tasty result-and-goals odds in the Championship this weekend, and that's where I'll set my treble. I fancy Wolves to nick the points at QPR, Middlesbrough to see off Forest and Hull to win away at Fulham, with over 2.5 goals scored in all three games. This treble gives odds of 55.06/1.

    Picks:

    Sunderland to win/+2.5 match goals: 9/2 - £10.

    Treble - Wolves to win/+2.5 match goals, Boro to win/+2.5 match goals, Hull to win/+2.5 match goals: 55.06/1 - £5

    @GRokerReport
    I'm sick of losing now. Sick.

    You can get evens with Betway for both teams to score in the Sunderland v Bournemouth game, and that's where I feel I'll make my money back, so I'm placing a tenner on that to return £20.

    Elsewhere, I'm going for another treble. Surely I can't lost one of these three weeks running?!

    Middlesbrough have a home game against Nottingham Forest and with that have an opportunity to cement their place at the top of the table. Hull, who are second in the Championship, are away to Fulham and I feel they'll have too much for their lowly opponents. Burton Albion - the top team in League One - are at home to mid-table Shrewsbury Town. 5/1 all in - lovely.

    Picks:

    Both teams to score in the Sunderland v Bournemouth game: Evens - £10

    Boro, Hull & Burton treble: 5/1 - £5

    @DJRoberts22
    With Sunderland being, well, Sunderland, Saturday will no doubt be a nervy affair and the Lads will make it as painful and stressful as possible for our hearts to take. With that in mind, my bet this week is for a first half draw, second half Sunderland win (we'll probably score as late as possible just for added stress building).

    As I need to start clawing some money back now, my second bet will be a treble, with home wins for Middlesbrough, West Brom and Manchester United, who all play in winnable fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Southampton.

    Picks:

    1st half draw, 2nd half Sunderland win: 6/1 - £5

    Boro, West Brom & Manchester United treble: 5.27/1 - £5

    Good stuff Bri.

    I'd take BBTS and Sunderland to win. I got 4/1 vs villa so reckon similar this weekend.

    Defoe FGS and Safc win. £5 on each could pay for some beer money Saturday night.

    And you mate. I had a little earner last home game.

    SAFC win and BTTS @ 4-1 - £5 on that.
    SAFC to win 3-1 @ 18/1 - £2.50 on that

    Is that all?

    That would mean each player is less than 2/1 to score at any time, because that'd return odds of 8/1

    Am I doing something wrong there, it's essentially just a standard double innit?

    I can't find that bet marra. Thought 365 might cover that market.

    Defoe is 11/8 and N'Doye is 7/4

    That is essentially an 11/2 double, so they do mark it up...

    365 have defoe 21/20 (anytime) and Ndoye 11/4 (anytime) but they can't combine them. though 365 would work out just over 10/1 if they did
