I usually back two pre-tourney, last year I backed Johnson and Scott both at 25's.

I'm liking the look of Snedeker as well, he looks up for it.

Aye, Sned is one on my radar like, looking at each ways on Jimenez as well, 365 are paying 1-4 and 100/1 looks big cos he looked in ok shape.

Just logged into Paddy Power and discovered this lost, thanks to SOUTHAMPTON! £300 I'd have won off that, Saints were a banker, Napoli v Lazio result looked tasty did you watch it Nads?

Should have just had £100 on Dortmund, I contemplated that when I was having that tenner, seen that result coming a mile off although I thought they'd lose with a weakened team, turns out they just couldn't be arsed and got slapped for lack of effort.

Aye watched it mate, was a decent game, not as decent as 3-2 makes it look like, Napoli were in control pretty much all the way through, Lazio scored on the break and then got one back when the game was dusted.

Higuain got a hat-trick he was immense, top striker that boy.

I followed your lead and backed Dortmund, but I lost it as well on Montpellier to beat Marseille. ****.

Is anyone betting on O'Sullivan winning the world snooker championship? he is 5/4 to win it. he should easy win it but I can't decide on how much money to put on him.

    4-2 wasn't it?

Shocking how you can just sense a result coming and with odds of 9/2 you still end up with no profit isn't it!

Trying to find a bit of value in the CDR final tonight but can't see anything worth having. Ronaldo's out isn't he so should be a formality for Barcelona considering they'll be bringing their own officials and each player will be provided with a set of red/yellow cards to dish out every time they get legitimately tackled.

    Typo mate!

The only thing I fancy for the del Rey is Madrid to go in front then Barca to win.

Bale first scorer, Barca win at 40/1.

Goals over 4.5 was what I looked at but at 3/1 or thereabouts, not worth the hassle.

No value in that unless you lump on big, and there's every chance Ronnie will just decide he can't be arsed or he'll be on the beak all night before his game and end up fluffing the match, he doesn't care about the sport, by his own admission he thinks it's boring and stupid so I'd be inclined to stick a few quid on a Judd Trump or a Mark Selby if I was remotely interested, but I'm not!

Thought so, since you knew Higuain scored 3!

I have no idea what's going on with Barca pal, getting turned over by Granada was unexpected. Got to be more to it than that, I'd imagine that daft chump of a manager has got no respect from the dressing room apart from with Messi, who personally appointed the muppet by all accounts according to Balague on Sky. Neymar seem to have done more bad than good, Messi doesn't look comfortable, Xavi isn't pulling the strings anymore, bad press... I love it, I just wish Real would turn up and spank them for 5 or 6 for once!

Gotta be some value in the card markets man, come on do some diggin!

Nothing tempting in there mate odds are tiny, example Real over 4.5 cards is only evens, the only money is in backing under 3 cards, a massively unlikely scenario.

I think with Barca it's just a case that teams have adapted to defend against them, I watched the last 40 mins against Granada, who by the way are very poor defensively, and they just let Barca have the ball, they had Nyom, who i a tank, quite tight to Messi, and Barca never really looked like breaking through.

It's obvious that Xavi is fading fast, and Fabregas, superb player that he is, just isn't on his level instinctively so they have lost that ability to just change pace on a split second Xavi spot.

Neymar hasn't really worked, you can see he's decent, but he's not top end, they haven't any truly great looking forwards, bar Messi. Pedro has gone backwards, Tello is not really looking like he can step up, Alexis Sanchez is actually a stunning player but Martino simply doesn't give him the freedom, add to that a very suspect CB set and you can see why they are falling back.

Say what you like about Ramos & Pepe, they may be filth but **** me they can defend, Barca have Alves, but Real have Marcelo, what Real have is genuine class everywhere, Modric, Di Maria, Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.

Real are developing a next generatin, Jese and Morata already touching the level required, they just look better served on every level going from here in my opinion.

Atletico, they have done it through sensational organisation, management, motivation and work, but they too have quality in Diego, Costa, Turan that can win a game in a blink, I don't see anything massively to fear in Barca away from Messi, and tactically, they are very easy to read.

Yeah they could do with Toni Kroos in CM, shame they're ****ing banned from buying and selling isn't it...hahaha!

Last I heard Ronaldo is out injured so I've had a couple of fivers on unlikely Barcelona win scorecasts... money back specials Paddy Power are offering

    I've also had:

    Bayern (-2) vs Kaiserslauten
    Everton to win vs Palace
    Benfica to win vs Porto
and Monaco to win vs Guingamp pays about 8/1 only had a fiver on that as well, not feeling it much tonight.

Should have stuck Sunderland (+2) in at 17/10 there's usually just one goal in that fixture. Never mind.

that 4 fold looks to have legs, Benfica are a class above Porto this year, several classes in fact, and the big lads have been taking the Taca very seriously this year, mainly as in the groupings there were some big teams drawn together, really benefitted the tiurnament.

Monaco, Everton, Bayern should be shoe ins on that, I might go -1 on Everton, a risk as Palace are pretty solid, but I think Everton haven't played great bar the Arsenal game and will want to put on a performance.

Didn't know the Benfica game was a cup game to be fair, all I was thinking is Benfica are unbeaten at home in the league, I should pay more attention!

Got a feeling Palace will park the bus at Everton A point should see them comfortably safe and I think if Allardyce and Pulis have any sense they'll both take a draw this weekend to assure safety but Pulis will be looking for it tonight I think. Pulis has Palace looking good going forward as well though so anything could happen, including a complete drubbing of course because Everton are also brilliant, they'll beat us on Sunday for sure.

I'd like Everton to get 4th just to mix it up a bit, I know Liverpool have been out of the top 4 for years, but it doesn't feel any different them being top 4, Everton would.

Martinez has done a ****ing brilliant job, they'll only get better, but they need the CL money to really compete.

Yeah, he's top notch in the markets that Martinez, for me his top buys have been getting McCarthy and Barry (loan), especially McCarthy. Lukaku could end up being in a swap deal for Barkley with the Chavs, but Martinez will add some more talent to the squad with whatever he gets to spend for sure. Not sure McGeady will be any good though. I hope Moyes (if he stays) stays away from their players though now, United need to start robbing Southampton for Lallana and Shaw and forget about Baines and Coleman.

I don't think Baines will be looking to move on now either way now, seems the Everton lads enjoy it under Martinez and they could go a long way.

If I was Moyes, I'd be looking for 5, LB, RB, CB, CB, CM, assuming no departures of first XI.

LB - Easy, Fabio Coentrao, quick, available, brilliant, young, perfect fit.

CB - Gary Cahill. May seem unlikely, but why not? NW lad, and for me massively underrated, cracking defender, carries ball well. Not impossible to do this deal.

CB - Hummels. Will cost a packet, but reads the game, good on the ball, and a smashing passer. Makes the odd error but should go on to become one of, if not the worlds best.

RB - Ignacio Abate, fast as **** and good on the ball, United need that to free up the attacking players. Not been first choice at Milan.

CM -Kroos, they've targeted the perfect man here, plain and simple.

You're looking at around £100 million to do those 5 like...

    De Gea
    Abate - Cahill - Hummels - Coentrao
    Valencia - Fellaini - Kroos - Januzaj
    RVP - Rooney

    ****ing decent

    I've gone with:

    Everton
    Man City -2
    Bayern -2

Valencia and Fellaini still weak for me mate. Would replace Fellaini with Carrick.
