In all honesty mate, when it comes to politics, I would be described as a fairweather voter. I've voted Tories this time but next time I could easily plump for any party (except Labour when fools like Corbyn are at the helm). I'm not joking, if Corbyn become Prime Minister, my permanent move to the Netherlands would be brought forward by about 20 years and I'd be off.
The whole country is a car crash. There's nobody fit to lead. The Tories can only boast a recovering economy that's still years behind schedule and even then It's Mark Carney who should be taking the credit. Labour borrowed too much and got in wars we shouldn't have, the Torries have borrowed even more and have plunged millions of people into poverty and their only competition is a washed up deluded ald socialist with no balls and looks like a sack of ****e. It's ****ing bleak mate. It's really getting to me.
Well mate I've worked all my life for yeh mate all those people on benifits and good hard working folk reaching oap age get 127 pounds a week .
Thing is Vince, the people who are claiming aren't the problem, they're just taking advantage of the system, the people who need blamed are top-management officials at the home office, border agency, housing association and so on, because (and trust me, I've been on the inside of the fence here) they delegate work to analysts and statisticians to make it look like there is no problem, because it's easier to manipulate stats than it is to implement nationwide policies to change. I worked on criminal intel and my job was to show reduction in knife crime, on one particular assignment, all I did was move all cases of knife crime for that month into different categories, such as robbery, assault with a weapon, criminal damage... it's pathetic and absolutely ridiculous.
Anybody like broth? I just made a big pan of it for next to nowt. Broth mix with the lentils, split peas & barley in. Add to that leek, onion, carrot, parsnip, turnip & four rashers of bacon snipped up with scissors. Throw in some salt, pepper, basil & a little curry powder. A good four meals there for about £4.50.
I love it mate. Every Sunday tea-time my Nana still to this day makes a big pan of it. This time of year it's absolutely beautiful on a dark, cold winters night
Is it one of those broths you can stand your wooden spoon in the middle of the pan and it just doesn't move. Just stands there! Lush !!!!! I'll set off now, should get to yours about midnight
Soup isn't my forte, well nothing is my forte, but I can make the odd meal. The only soup I've ever made successfully is Spicy butternut squash soup, it was surprisingly nice, considering I made it and most things I make taste like old bin.
Plain & simple but wholesome food lads. If it can sustain a coal miner, it can sustain me. ****ing topper.
My mum used to repeat a meal, probably once every 3 months when I was really young, then I got picky and narrowed it down to my favourite 8-10 meals and from there, I've gone on to be able to master about 3 of them. What I am used to eating most days isn't proper meals, it's just cooked food that keeps me going, for energy. More recently, crap food, with no nutrition and it makes me feel like ****. Anybody care to be honest with me, one person in particular has via PM... I've been out of the gym and on a **** diet for probably 11 weeks now, anybody noticed a shift in my mood and general happiness? I have, I won't take offense at anybody who agrees with me. Diets and exercise are so undervalued to the physical and psychological well being of the human body.
Yeh your correct in all accounts , because it's easier to manipulate stats than it is to implement nationwide policies to change
Last Friday, on the "Its a disgrace!" thread, I said you were getting more and more angry TJ, and gonna put yourself in an early grave. So yes mate, I've detected a slight wrinkle in your normally mild and easy-going demeanour. Get back onto proper food TJ! You know it makes sense!
In the early seventys I let myself go a bit and put on extra weight. This by eating anything and drinking loads of beer Towards the end of the seventies I had lost three and half stone and was under eleven stone. I trained most days and played football twice a week untill 1987. Due to work commitments I was unable to train and play football ( that's my excuse and I'm not changing it ) By the time I was forty I was back upto 14 stone.now I'm an unfit over weight nearly 64 year old. I try to eat heathy and do my best to keep the fast food to a minimum.
I know mate, I read that comment, I'd have probably told you to go whistle if I didn't respect you so much. The fact is, I've got a healthy enough body but my mind doesn't wanna play ball, unless I'm punishing my body regularly. It all boils down to sleep and not having excess energy and too much time to think. I'ma be back on my A-game soon
I weigh 14 now, roughly. Bit of muscle wasted and fat cells multiplied so I lost a bit of weight actually. I'm a sucker for a domino's though mate, they know me by name now... which is worrying.
