It's more tongue in cheek mate, misaligned spending, I know religion does a lot of good and gives a lot of people (false) hope.

Just going off Gordon Armstrong's statement, I'm more than happy to walk away from this forum.

By show of hands (or likes would probably work better) and for the cowards among you who Gordon claims to be speaking on behalf of, please like this post and if it gets to five I'll wind it up, in fact let's just say three, since I have Relic's vote as a given and Gordon raised the point so I'm taking his vote as well...

There you go, lads, three votes and I'll be gone, that's a promise...

I know mate, I just can't abide people with no ****ing spine to speak to me if they think I'm out of line.

Abuse is a strong word, I hope GA is gonna have the spine to back it up.

Like you'd be seen dead there, risking the ridicule of your peers at the local Gentleman's club.

@Typical_Juan @Gordon Armstrong. Right pair of you pack it in and step away from the thread, I include myself. Politics get's people angry and when it threatens to disrupt the dynamic of the board we need to back off. It's not worth losing posters over it.

The bushes in your mansion are more luxurious than our homes. We haven't been hiding there, we've been living there.

I knew that before writing mate, but just like you had your rant at Sid, he's had one at me so I just want to hear him out and deal with his gripe.

    Is that a hint? <laugh>

Be a nice luxury to have as a characteristic, to be told you're abusive and spoiling people's fun and just be able to brush it off as nothing... I have no such ability.

I dont remember to many people dying in this country from starvation in recent years before food banks came along, its just another something for nothing club,
There was food coupons given out before and people where trading them for alcohol

I really quite enjoy the diversity of all arguments and opinions on here, but to my mind there's no valid reason for anyone to get aggrieved or upset on any view that differs to my own or any other contributed perception, the reality is well it's just a different opinion - just move on and accept it -philosophically in the whole scheme of things to in my life to worry about - how someone on here ' believes or disbelieves' or counter argues on a subject doesn't change my thought process and my opinion is still valid that LIFE 'it's all bollocks' anyhow <cool>
I don't get why the abuse or snideness that is often thrown about here especially so as it's given via a keyboard and delivered by the ether, it's just not necessary nor particularly clever -themes of politics, religion, racial arguments and even 'God forbid' football <laugh> etc are always going to be subjective and emotive but lets discuss it without calling each other names - unless it's done with humour of course <cheers>

Sorry mate, I've only just seen this...

Probably no use to what you are after like <laugh>

With regards to benefits, I don't really understand what the conservatives have done or are doing, as at this point in my life, it doesn't affect me. My main concerns are with immigration and this countries defence. I have to admit fella, I am over the moon so far as to our response to the refugee 'crisis'. I expected us to be at the front of the queue with our arms wide open as usual, we aren't though, we have committed to take about 20,000 over 5 years. I think that is outstanding considering just about everybody else who is chipping in are taking quite a lot more than us.

That was my main concern, tbh mate. Maybe I should be more concerned about nhs, education, policing and whatever else... I'm not though, I am concerned about this country changing for the worse due to mass immigration and no integration.

In times like this, when there's troubles at home and overseas, I feel we need a strong tory government to see us through. I don't think there's another party out there at the moment who could do a better job at protecting us.

Fair dos fella. For what it's worth the Tories have always had backbone when it comes to international conflict. I said the other day if we had Corbyn instead of Churchill we'd all be speaking German today.

Protecting us is subjective. There's are plenty of frail and needy getting no protecting. While real protection imo regarding overseas policy would be to start preparing us to leave the euro zone. So when the time comes when it's truely needed we can take back our own boarders without international repercussions and sanctions.

They maybe the best party available at the moment but I don't for one second think they're doing a good job.
