The match schedule to be announced tomorrow (10th) The draw will be announced this Friday 13th..... and play begins next Monday 16th.
I'm guessing there will also be some British interest in the qualifiers which are due to start this week, hopefully one or two can get into the main draw along with Murray. It's likely they'd lose in the 1st round but it's all good experience
From what I can gather it looks like bet365 will be showing all of the AO....which is good coz I don't have Eurosport. The BBC are only planning on showing the men's and women's finals. What are the chances, do you think, of them being kind and showing Andy's matches? I'm sure they did this last year.....it wasn't in their schedule but they put them on anyway.
I'm lucky as I do have Eurosport but the timings of the matches will make watching important matches very difficult for those who work.
Assuming Ward gets through his next round he'll likely play Igor Andreev in the final round of qualifying, a guy who used to be a regular in the top 50 of the world rankings not so long ago. He's slipped down the rankings lately but will still be a tough match
Thanks ST, I've heard that Ryan Harrison is an up-and-coming star of the future and that this match could be a tricky one for our Andy
Oh no...I don't like the sound of that. I will be absolutely furious with Andy if he goes out in the first round Well, I'm off work now till 30th January, so bring it on!
It does have the look of a potential banana skin. He needs to keep his concentration up and keep the pressure on his opponent and he should come through unscathed.
Well done to James Ward for winning through qualifying and getting into the main draw He'll play Blaz Kavcic in the 1st round, a more than winnable match
