Why because a bunch of silly little buoys are trying to tarnish the good name of a manager who slapped Celtic about for 30+ years.
"I have been lucky — lucky in those who were around me from the boardroom to the dressing-room. In time of stress, their unstinted support, unbroken devotion to our club and calmness in adversity eased the task of making Rangers FC the premier club in this country."
I did this before on 606 - went through the list of players listed by a Hun as being decorated in the war - only one of them was in the Rangers team in 1939. Can't be bothered going through them now but Rangers signed two players from Everton (for example) in 1945 after the war and they're among the names you listed. Here's a quote from another forum in answer to the same copy and paste mis-telling you've listed. If I could be arsed scouring the net, you'll find a list of the two squads in 1939 - almost all of the Celtic squad died on the battlefield and almost all of the Rangers squad either got jobs in the shipyards or in Bellahouston Hospital.
Willie Thornton, Chris McNee, David Kinnear, Jimmy Simpson, Ralph Cowan and Ian McPherson were all in the 1939 squad. Do you not think it's ironic how many Celtic players served and died in both World Wars yet look at the respect they get now. please log in to view this image
I've got feeling you simply don't understand. Celtic fans on here speaking about how many players died in the World Wars yet Celtic fans are reknown for their lack of respect when it comes to remembrance day, bloostained poppy banners etc.
