I think that Fox should go for his own sake. Eventually being on the bench or even not even in the sixteen will take its toll and Fox deserves better than that. Clearly Hughton doesn't rate him, which, in my opinion, says more about Hughton than it does about Fox. I sincerely wish Fox all the best if he goes and I just feel sad that we can't accommodate a player of his quality in the squad.

I didn't say Fox has CFS I said that the GF illness often leads to PVCFS unfortunately there's no test for these things other than going to GP saying you're knackered, obviously the fitter you are going in the less likely you are to have "complications" although that isn't always the case. I know people who have had GF been ill for 2 weeks then gone back to life as usual and i'm sure that some have it think it's flu and just get over it. It's one of those illnesses/complications that doesn't have a particular trigger nor reason why Mr X is ok and Mr Y is very ill indeed.

My neice had GF when she was 7 she ended up in hospital severely jaundiced, had to come out of school and had to have a strict regime of afternoon naps etc to try and build back up.

I was told that had I not been admitted to hospital when I was that'd have died, I was as I was told on admissions in all likelihood 24 hours away from liver failure.

GF is one of those illnesses that can go from not even realising you're ill to well death. Also the Epstein Barr-virus which is the most common cause of GF (and worryingly some forms of cancer!) is related to Hepatitis (hence liver problems) also once you recover you have it kicking around in your system for the rest of your life

you don't actually know if hughton rates him or not! you're guessing, as we all are. what we do know is that he was awarded a new contract by the current manager and has been awful in the games he has played under him. if fox is good enough he'll get selected. he's in the squad, he's been in the managers thoughts, otherwise, why give him a new deal and a squad number?

We know Hughton watched the bulk of the performances from our first season up and so will have seen Fox's performances, I assume that's why he got a new contract. I always felt that whilst fantastic in some areas but he was too light on the ball and can't win the ball in the same way that bradley can and as such offers little protection to the back line.

he is lightweight but there is still a time and a place for someone of his ilk in our team. as i say, he didn't get many chances (mainly cup) but when he did he was often awful, so it can't be that surprising when you consider that, his injuries and illness (extent unknown) that he wasn't picked much. i guess he wasn't pulling up any trees when fit in training either but we can only guess that.

I know you say your a fan of Fox Pyjamas, but that's the exact mentality that means English football never progresses,

"there is still a time and a place for a someone of his ilk."

Teams should be built around these types of players, not just some luxurious add on.
