7-1 when written down is embarrassing but watching yesterdays match on TV
the referee had a big part to play in that scoreline talk about being a homer.
Two of the goals were offside the 1st red card was never a red card the linesman next to the incident gave it as a Peterbrough throw.
The second red card yes was a red card but how on earth was it a penalty?

Honestly I thought the only poor decision that had a direct consequence effect was the penalty.
Martins tackle was stupid and potentially very dangerous. It has been a sending off offence for several seasons now.
Boyd may have been offside in the build up to the first(?) goal but the ball was subsequently cleared to half way. Although they regained possesion I dont have too many complaints.
The other offside I thought was in line.

Sometimes after a loss, being able to blame the officials, or the weather, or a stray dog can act as something of an anaesthetic and you feel that perhaps it really wasn't so bad after all and the 'if' word becomes a crutch for justifying a poor performance as perhaps being something else.

After all "if your auntie had balls, she'd actually be your uncle"!

But I am afraid, despite the observations being true, there is simply no excuse nor any anaesthetic powerful enough to excuse our pathetic and inept performance. We were well and truly beaten and even if some of those things had not gone against us, the result would have been pretty much the same! The fact that we only had 9 players left and had to defend, as opposed to try and attack, actually and somewhat bizarrely, probably saved us leaking even more goals !!! Next!

if players can't tackle like Martin did then, outlaw sliding tackles completely. A Pharisaical decision.
