I wonder if we could create this thread Sparkey in memory of footballers who have passed away. The older we all get, the more of our football contemporaries have left us.
I’ve just read the Martin Chivers has died and he was one of the first players I watched when I moved from Ireland. It was the EUFA Cup Final, second leg at White Hart Lane and the first on many trips to watch the Spurs. Big Chiv had scored the two goals in the first leg at Wolves and was instrumental in Spurs winning the cup. A good old fashioned big centre forward who scored many great goals.
RIP.

, a true old fashioned 'warrior' on the pitch and a decent manager/coach too. So close to taking Wales to a World Cup.... but for the width of that crossbar eh?
