****IN GET IN - Wolves review

Shola played well. He won alot in the air, and brought others into the game.

He's a good target man.

 

Decent enough I guess, but still I want him(if possible), Kuqi and Loverman to go. Simple, IMO there all Championship-standard. Out of all them three who would I pick to keep as cover/squad player? Loverman, easily. I'll keep Ranger and Best and buy 1/2 quality strikers.

 

I think Shola needs to go because he's not really a quality player at this level, but he should stay because he's Shola. You can't get rid of Shola. Shola is epic.

You were saying he was ''****'' before you got banned and when we got thumped by Stoke and now your saying he's Epic? WTF make your mind up.

 

He's epic because he's Shola, but his overall play most of the time is ****. I just committed a knee jerk reaction to his performance against Stoke, but you have to admit that i wasn't the only one being very negative towards Shola after that game.

He's a decent player but we need better.

 

IMO he's good back-up and he can stay next season if he wants. NEW ST, Best, Ameobi, Ranger/Airey. Not bad for next season. IMO we don't need 5 strikers because of the formation Pardew might play with Ben Arfa having a ''free'' role in the middle in a potential 4231/4411. I'll love someone like Pav.

 

Agreed, if we sign a striker in the summer, i'd be happy with a new quality striker and Best, with Shola and Ranger as cover. Add another creative mid aswell.

p.s. As i type this, Silgado has just netted his fourth goal of the game vs Getafe. Beasty player.

 

How about Juan Albin on a free(OT would love this)? or my personal ''one'' ''you know who''. Can't see Salgado coming here unfortunately. Leaving European football for a potential 10 team side? Mmm..

 

I think 2 new strikers, Best and Shola cover (a role he was born to play for this club) Ranger and Airey on loan and Kuqi out. Lovenkrands is cool, but will probably leave...

 

Sturridge would be a class buy in my opinion, can't see why our club wouldn't consider it.

 

It's possible but would Chelsea sell? With a misfiring Torres, a ageing Drogba and Anelka, a unproven Fabio Borini.. Mmm.. could see him playing a ''big'' part next season for Chelsea, especially if Drogba and/or Anelka leave in the summer.

 

Sturridge has scored 1 goal in 20+ apps for them, but has had a decent goals record for every other team he's played for. He's not really going to be a hit at Chelsea in my opinion, he should be let out on loan atleast, because Chelsea's not doing him any favours.

I'd have him in a heart beat.

 

Think if he's going to go anywhere it will be Bolton again.

 

Seem to be quite a few people in this thread that seem to be going on about Wolves being a dirty team, I watched the game today and didn't see Wolves as any worse than Newcastle, in fact Newcastle won 5 yellow cards to 3 and 19 fouls to 10.

I can understand your disliking of Henry since he was way out of order in the previous game against you and to be honest he is not my favourite player either, I am pretty sure it affected him today as well because i don't think he actually did anything in the middle of the park.

Henry actually plays better against the more dirty teams, so the fact that he has had two stinkers against you guys maybe shows that you are a pretty clean side.

 

I don't care if we got more bookings, it's the way that the players got the bookings. How there's been 11 Wolves players on the pitch after 90 minutes both times is beyond me, especially in the first game.

 

Elokobi deserved to go today, lucky to stay on the pitch.

 

Ebanks-Blake was fouling the defenders every time the ball went forward, most of the time we got nowt, first foul Ameobi commits yellow card, Nolan got booked for Hammil tripping over his own legs and Fletcher got away with a blatant elbow on Match of the Day.

 

I'd rather have Perch over Sol any day.

 

I was at work the only goal I heard on the radio was the wolves one. Then spent the entire time on the van shouting who scored the goals
