Did he now? And Kenny built everything for Souness to do the same, that is the single most stupid thing I've heard in a long time. Were Liverpool that successful under Shanks? I won't even get started on the other laughable bollox you spouted about the Champions League or the "proper" treble. You should really go hide for a few days in shame of the bollox you type with a straight face.
Ive already made a very good point about the EC being easier to win due to the lack of decent teams involved compared to now. Its an amazing achievement but personally I think Fergie taking United to 3 finals in 4 years is equally as good, considering the teams involved. Only my opinion but a fair one.
Come on then, argue one single point of it. I am standing on such ****ing morale high ground I can piss on you, and it would only be mist by the time it got to you.
I respect your opinion. Fergie only won one though, and that's what will be remembered in twenty years time (outside of Manchester). Paisley won them. Aside European Cup/Champs League, Paisley won 6 leagues, 3 League Cups, 1 Uefa Cup, European Super Cup and 5 Charities. You have to bear in mind these are not spaced over a long period. This is continious unprecedented success.
I think this football lark is a little complex for you pal. The proper treble would be the main trophies. And Kenny didnt build **** all. Clearly you dont know your own club but basically Liverpool under Kenny were full of old timers and were certain to fall from grace no matter who came in. To be fair to Souness he did try and bring some youth into the club, something Ken completely neglected. As for were Liverpool successful under shanks. This is all the evidence needed to show that you dont know a thing about your own club. Embarrassing to say the least. He took you from the 2nd division to champions of england and european success. he made Liverpool into a force to be reckoned with after you were basically small time. So yes, he did have success.
I dont need to argue with such bullshit. Every single word of it was bullshit. Not a great manager lol.....he is the greatest!
Is it ****e! Do you have utter bolloxs spouting turrets? Can you not open you mouth without laughable ****e like this falling out?
Those old timers won three Leagues, two FA Cups and 4 Charity Shields in 6 years? Your argument isn't without flaw either I think.
You appear to know as little about our club as you do about football in general. I'm still waiting for you to say one sensible factual thing tonight. You can add LFC group jester to your CV.
Ok..... You're a sensible poster so you should be able to see what i mean here unlike many of the others on here but.... If we take away Fergies first 4 or 5 years at United, a time where he did his Shankley bit ( as in he built united up from nothingness into a real force to be reckoned with ) and then look at his time after that you see he infact achieved very very good levels of success. On a par with Paisley. Since 1990 he has achieved amazing levels of success, constantly rebuilding United and staying at the top. No body has ever come close to what hes done. Short term success is much easier than maintaining long term dominance.
Oh.... so you were a great club when he took over, not in the 2nd division. he also didnt win a number of league titles, the uefa cup and a few others did he? Sorry, i didnt realise some LFC supporters regarded the man as ****.
I see you still can't argue a single point I have raised tonight, that speaks volumes, when mancs are so ashamed of their own managers behaviour, that they have to laugh it all off and run away in shame.
Okay. I think you may have grouped me in the wrong category. If you look at my posts on this thread they do not deny Fergies success. I'v just questioned his personality and demeanor within the game, and pointed out soome of the brown nosing by his former players turned managers. I don't deny he is respected for his achievements. I do reject the notion that Paisley should not of been made a Sir.
No, you are one of the decent posters. I suppose its hard to judge a man through the media really. The media can make someone seem as nice or bad as they choose.
Let me give you a lesson, again... Shankly won SIX honours in 15 years, good, as that is, it does not mean that Paisley simply took hold of the reigns and had to do nothing to win THIRTEEN in NINE years. Just like your scum sucking manager, you will deny anything to catch Liverpool's coat tails. That is in fact the whole aim of Fergie's time at Manchester to beat Liverpool, not to be the best, not to be respected, just to beat Liverpool, and that means you never can, because everything your club has done is to look with envy on the greatest football team in the land. Every breathe, every kick of a ball, every training session has all be to be compared with us. How do you sleep at night?
Whats to be ashamed of? Come on man, dont fall into the same group of posters who just talk bollocks on here in order to have a dig at United.
