Fair enough! I think the main point from my post is that if shots on goal were taken more into account then you would see more attacking football and less defensive tactics. Maybe scrub the taking players off part and just go on pure shot stats.
Blame the kit makers for this.... demanding x amount of appearances per kit per season to help their sales.
Problem with shot stats is at what point do teams start thinking, **** this is heading for a draw. Best start having a pop from all over the park. Could ruin a game.
I like it. Might go and get it patented even then sell the idea to FIFA! I remember when the back pass law was introduced people thought it would turn the games into a farce but it went the other way and forced the defenders to play instead of taking an easy option, this could be similar.
I don't think they do. The club decides what kit to wear, but obviously they have a certain amount of stock to sell in each kit and will vary the kits to try and make sure they sell them all.
