MM seems to like signing a few with question marks against them but two-year deal suggests he rates him. Clearly a bit of pace and better delivery out wide is needed next year to let our strikers prosper against better defences so lets hope Whalley does well. Encouraging that we seem to be holding onto our best players at the moment as keeping the spine of the side is more important than signing new players.

http://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/article/cameron-gayle-departs-2515410.aspx Gayle has left the building. Bit ****ty for him really as he was coming on well. Good luck with your future Cameron, hope you get sorted pretty sharpish as you deserve a good team to play for.
Not surprised to see Gayle go as I think Tootle will be an improvement. I am much more worried about the striker situation as we seem to be losing Akpro and Mangan. Both have different qualities and will be sorely missed. I am not sure Collins and Barnett complement each other and Vernon has clearly been a decent player but looked way off the pace for me last season. Perhaps Anderson can step up to the mark but we look short in that department at the moment.
