While I see your logic please remember that not all followers of SAFC enjoy seeing NUFC, or any club for that matter putting its fans through anguish from “off field antics”. Football should be about respect. Hat off to you for your closing off with “I am willing to respect” but the “it’s your board after all” questions your sincerity. :emoticon-0150-hands

Yes I see your point mate.

I guess you can try it and let us know in a week's time if the "complaints" have decreased since the new rule was introduced.

This is pretty lame. If people, including myself, are posting offensive or 'WUM' comments then by all means delete them, but making certain threads 'Mag free' is truly pathetic.

As others have said, surely each member is capable of 'looking after themselves'? <doh>...

    Who said Nanny state?

    Get a grip Mackems, FFS.

I'll make sure we keep all informed on whether it's been a success or failure mate <ok>

Like we repeat Joker, we just want to make the site accessible to as many as possible, i'd prefer to leave 'wum' posts on a thead for the lads who like to bite back.

so does this work both ways when your lot come calling to our board ....the answer will be no for obivious reasons i.e. open forum this i'm affraid is quite sad and not sure if it's in the spirit of the forum..sad day indeed and to see mods endorsing it <doh> think you need to look at your positions lads.

dear me the crap we have had to put up with on 606 and now not 606 over the last couple of years. Now the tables have turned and you can't take it,if you want mag free threads may i suggest the SMB forum.

So I suppose it's purely a coincidence that this 'Mag free' bollocks has been requested since Sunderland are playing like ****e, have Titus Bramble as the new Joey Barton, Newcastle United happen to be in the Champions League positions and Steve Bruce is being hounded out?

Of course it is. Big babies. <ok>

TBH lads all you are doing is justifying the idea. We are simply trying to solve some concerns and thats what the mods are for, to look at concerns and try to find solutions.

I honestly cant see why it bothers you all so much.

You keep coming back to mods, NONE of us will use the option.

To moderate the board is to make it a place that as many people as possible are happy, and wish to use, that's what we are trying to achieve mate.

It's been a couple of months to be fair Joker, our members are dropping rapidly, have been a while, we are trying to encourage people back.

I'd agree that the teams **** form, and your good form , has amplified it, but that's by the by mate.

I propose that we have 'Wimp free' threads from now on.

Anybody who simply can't handle the ups and downs of being a football fan must 'fall on their sword' and not participate in threads that require some 'gonads'.

    Who's with me? <doh>...

Perhaps it's because this site is called not606 and with that name, heralds a bright new dawn for internet users to escape the plain daft moderation of the BBC.

This decision, my Mackem chum, is a massive step towards the kind of rubbish we were all complaining about on the original 606.

    Just a guess, like.

No leave it open Syd. This thread is useful for the mags to give their opinion, whether it be good or bad.
