I wouldn't touch the Regal Encore double bet with a bargepole. The yard has had a virus and if he somehow does manage a win today he is far from certain to take his chance next week. My info is that he would be more likely to go to Aintree.
He is a horse I highlighted as a bumper but am more than happy to take him on today given the state of the yard!

Like a lot of relative newcomers, they are often best price early doors. That won't last of course, but meanwhile, as Pops says - too good to be true
Harry was shunted out of it and forced to drop out of contention. Impossible to say how he would have fared without the interference because he was against the rails, responding very well to pressure. If he was mine I would be well and truly pissed off. On the plus side it won't do his handicap mark any harm as the jockey rightly eased off once he was squeezed out. Apart from that, I would be very pleased with the way he ran and I'm sure there will be some happy days ahead.
Somemothersdoavem not quite good enough... but I went with that BetBright offer and true enough £30 refunded and Ive taken the money out already. A free £20 Cheltenham bet to look forward to on day 1 of the festival. You can t knock it to be honest...
Agreed Pops ... feels a bit mean to withdraw it all, but the offer was for exactly that! And I doubt that they'd worry too much taking it off me without the offer!
Well done anyone on the winner (I have backed that beggar the last twice) he could very well be up to defying a penalty.

I still like him a lot and I know that he is going to give the Don a good many great days at the races.
Fabulous day today with wonderful people who know how to accept winning and losing with equal amounts of good cheer. I hope not many of you actually lost money on him. I will try to temper my enthusiasm for him a little in the future but I really do believe he will win very good races in the coming seasons.
He came home safe and sound and we will be back to fight on other days!

After his performance the last day I doubt he owes any of us owt, the fact that he got home safe & sound is the important thing.

We all began by having a good laugh at the analysis of his Huntingdon win. A hot race with a £238k horse from venetias yard and a really well faniced ferguson horse
and a williams horse only beaten 10 lengths by Dawalan somehow became a farcical race Harrry stumbled into winning!! No pace??? It was heavy ground and had been tipping rain all day. All the field were off the bridle down the back straight other than the leading two who pulled well clear.
Charlie kept him out of the pre parade ring, didnt want him getting too buzzed up. Unfortunately the way it panned out was Harry was in the parade ring right behind a horse called Little Jon. The thing is absolutely enormous a monster..... it then dawned on me that Harry was all of a sudden one of the smallest if not the smallest horse whereas at Huntingdon he was one of the bigger horses. Not sure he liked it as while he looked amazing didnt strut around the same way he did at Huntingdon. Had his head in his chest and didnt look too happy.
On the plus side i ended up next to JP Mcmanus and had a nice little chat with him!!!
Kielan did exactly what Charlie asked him to do. He didnt settle well and was a bit keen. We hoped hed grown out of that as at Huntingdon he was perfect having been keen at Market Rasen. He jumped the 2nd fence horrendously and lost alot of momentum. He was tucked away and ideally we would have had him out so he could have a clear look at the hurldes but because of his keeness Kielan had to put him in behind. Rewatch the Huntingdon race and with a clear look at every hurdle he jumped like a dream, unfortunatley yesterday i think he was a bit buzzed up with the occasion.
We knew he would be one of the first off the bridle but that he would plug on well. He was almost back on the bit a couple of times. Was frustrating to be blocked so badly and nearly put through the rail, he was really starting to rally at that point and wanted to go past the horse in front. Who knows what could have happened but would have been unlikely to make the frame. We were all delighted with him but frustrated he didnt get to run his race and also that he was a bit novicey. He didnt like the tacky ground which was a bit of a surprise and he didnt enjoy jumping out of it.
Would like to think the handicapper will drop him but we think Charlie is still be punished for Magnifique Etoille as the handicapper always seems to be overly harsh on his!!

Thanks for the update Don. That's exactly how I saw it (above). He certainly wasn't giving up when he was crowded out. I watched him with a feeling of pride, as if he was my own; he ran a great race. My daughter's first horse was an impressive looking novice she called Harry and together they progressed to international level. He even looked similar to your boy. Unfortunately we lost him in very distressing circumstances a couple of years back so there was definitely a touch of sentiment as we all watched the race. We wish you every success with him.
