    The slogan 's been in use decades and the half n half sellers outside OT the other night were using it as their chosen phrase on their merchandise.

    Northumberland's name was derived due to the fact it's north of the Humber, but we don't live in it. Agreed we live on the banks of the Humber but that's no reason to say we're from Humberside. The east coast towns bank on the North Sea but they're not from Northseaside!

    I don't think anyone maintains we live in Northumberland, do they?

    We live in a region sometimes referred to as Humberside.

    FFS, where's the difficulty with that?
