Sean Dyche's appointment was the right decision whether it will prove to be a successful one only time will tell.
Worried but not panicking. We haven't done a lot wrong, it just hasn't quite clicked yet. There's no guarantee that the tide will turn, but I still believe that we can and will do considerably better than 21st.
Will happily accept 21st still a championship club and a year down the track of paying off the bonds debt to LA
I'm with NNW here - let the new players settle in and see how it goes. Out of the bottom 3 by Nov will be good.
Can't agree with the sentiment, if Sean and the team are unsuccesful and we continue on the current track and end up in a relegation scrap then it will prove to be the wrong decision but for the right reasons. We have to stay in the C'ship, that's the only realistic expectation and the Club should do everything to achieve that
Agreed 46 but not at the cost of bankrupting the club, been there before and we are still paying for it !
The problem if we get relegated is that realistically there isn't a lot of room for manoeuvre on ticket pricing. Cutting our cloth accordingly at first team level and behind the scenes would be a challenge but not a catastrophe. On the other hand the cost of the academy is pretty much fixed regardless of what division we're in.
No need to start the talk of what happens should we get relegated! Millwall, Coventry, Peterborough, Barnsley, Doncaster all have weaker squads then us in my opinion, we'll be fine! I would be worried if performances were poor, but apart from against West Ham (a team in a different class to us) we have looked good. Keep the faith, its a marathon and not a sprint!
I've had faith for 46 years through thick and thin (and Vialli). I see it like a marathon as well yet, as often is the case, a poor start often leads to a poor finish. I now think Reading is a 6 pointer, time to make an impact. COYH
So often, our season starts well and fades, as has been said, i'm hoping this season will be a reversal of that. I have faith, and as yet, i'm not worried. Ask me again at Christmas
I'm with you on this one Hornette, still too early in the season to be worrying about relegation. However the longer these results go against us the more pressure it will place on the team. We really need a couple of good wins to kick start the teams confidence and take the pressure of them. That way they can concentrate on playing and not on where we are on the table. COYH
