I didn't gloat you 'mug' I was asking if Drogs got 'pumped dry'! Read the post before commenting you tit.
What a chief. Posting on the Chelsea board when your own team are playing at home. Not got a transistor radio in Surrey?
'Chief, Mug, Plastic' you really are a chav!! I, like the majority of the population have a smart phone where I can post from anywhere at all. Next time your out mugging you should take one.
So you spend your Saturday afternoon on your smartphone on the Chelsea board instead of following your own team when they are playing. Sad
So you spend your Saturday afternoon on your smartphone on the Chelsea board instead of following your own team when they are playing. Sad[/QUOTE] Now I'm not the quickest at typing but it didn't take me all afternoon to type that, in fact just a few seconds! EC, your in my net! Easiest bite I've ever had.
Well, what a day, and what a game! In the end, it proved to be something of a non-spectacle, and the only question, after about 25 minutes of the first half, was "how many are Chelsea going to score?" I was disappointed that I didn't get to see Ramirez play. Saints looked very flat, and left out a number of their key players. The only players of theirs that impressed me were Pancheon and De Ridder (who came on mid-way through the 2nd half). for 65 mins of that game, Chelsea treated it like a training match. Ba was a bit anonymous in the first half, but he very much got into the match during the 2nd half, and he's looking like a very shrewd buy for Coco. It'll be interesting to see how much game-play Torres gets, because you'd have to be mad not to play Ba in the kind of form he's in. Then again, you do have a mad-dog for an owner, so you never know. Was it a penalty? Yes, in my view. Lampard took it well. Victor Moses scored the first, and then treated us to an acrobatics display, which was nice. In the end, 1-5 didn't flatter Chelsea one bit, who fully deserved the win. As for Saints, they're going to have to play a hell of a lot better than that, if they want to stay up. But what of my day, generally? Great fun! 5 of us went to the match, three Saints fans, my Chelsea-supporting mate, and me. One of the chaps is a member of the supporters club, so we got free entrance to the Saints bar, and had a few bevvies before the match. They did a lovely jacket-potato & chilli for £3. My ticket cost me £28, which seemed quite reasonable, and I was sitting quite near to the Chelsea fans (turnstile A, block). We had a fantastic view of ground, and were sat high up. I've not been to Saint Marys for a couple of years, and I was surprised to learn that the have taken to putting all the away fans in the Northern End, instead of in one of the corners. I think that's a stupid move by the club, quite frankly, because from my experience, it was only the Northern End Saint-supporters who ever made any noise. Instead, they seemed to be tucked away in the corner opposite from where I was sitting, and you could hardly hear a peep out of them, all match. The only time they got animated was when Saints scored their goal. By contrast, the Chelsea fans were in full voice all match. Some of the tunes are a little exotic, it not ambitious musically. The song "we know who we are, etc" got boring after a while, but I did chuckle at some of the put downs that they sang, such as "that's why you're going down!" when one of the Saints forwards skied a shot well over the bar. "Is there a fire drill?" also made me smile, which was sang as Saints fans began streaming out of the ground on 90 minutes (despite there being 4 minutes of added time). It's a shame that I didn't see Chelsea play tougher opposition, because there are clearly frailties in the team, but Saints didn't have enough to exploit them. Having said that, there is no denying the fire-power in that team. Best Chelsea player for me? Mata, probably. He's easily as good as Modric, in that he plays the game so effortlessly. I was impressed with him. Worst Chelsea player? Luiz. He played some howlers in the first half, but did improve significantly during the second. Oh, and the Chelsea fans sang "sign him up! sign him up!" rather loudly, when Lampard came on, during the second half, and he repaid them by applauding them at the end, and making sure he was the last man off the park.
More the reason for fans not to go. Why go and watch 2nd string get beat when you'll be playing the same team in 2 months time? People have to pick and choose their games now. Few clubs sell out all their FA Cup ties now.
Cheers As a spectacle, it wasn't great, because CFC was so far superior to what Saints put out. But it was interesting to see some of your stars, as it's the first time I'm seen this particular collection of players together.
