Unfortunately just a simple rant from someone with more opinions than brains.

As has been said hindsight would be a wonderful gift to have before the event but no-one does.

Again if we had not played HBA and lost I'm sure someone on here would have been saying "Pardew is seriously a ****ing idiot" for not playing HBA.

Also it was not a meaningless game. Now we are into the next phase you can call the final group game meaningless but last night's most definetly wasn't. As last night's game was not meaningless then whilst I would not have played HBA but I'm not going to criticsise the manager for doing so.

Instead of coming on shouting and mouthing please try coming on with constructive comments and views. And is there really the need for all the swearing. It doesn't make your point any more valid nor does it show that you are passionate or anything like that, in my view quitethe reverse.

We all post threads we regret at times, and this is not one of my finest moments, but I don't believe what I said was 100% wrong. Pardew shouldn't have started Ben Arfa. It would have been a better idea to have see how it played out, then brought Ben Arfa on if it was necessary.

And I will just laugh at your comments talking about me not giving constructive views and opinions, and that I'm more opinions than brains.

You should visit the board more often and see the amount of threads that I post with detailed and intellectual tactical ideas and views.

I was just frustrated, and this is not something I normally do, so don't try and sit on a high horse and think you're better than me just because I've posted a slightly unlikeable thread.

But you go ahead and mention my past like everyone else does, and say "this is not the first thread you made like this, you have a history... blah blah blah".

Roeder got us to 7th, a million miles from the top four. Pardew got us to 5th, within a game or so of Arsenal in 3rd - it was a very impressive performance last year.

I don't mind if we finish 15th this season, we still need to stick with Pardew. Stability and slowly continuing to evolve the club are the only way we are going to continue the progress. Look at Everton, they yo-yo'd in the league alot in Moyes first years - in no small part because of varying European commitments. However, what's the point in qualifying for Euro if we then play a second string team and crash out early on? I agree with our stance on it so far, yes it has cost us any chance of finishing top 6/7 (i think already) but we weren't looking good enough to repeat last year anyway.

Mid-table and a run to the semi's in a cup would be good consolidation from last season, then progressing to another top half of the table push next year when we almost certainly wont have European commitments.

Seriously though Tash, you're bang out of order here imho. We were all pleased he sent out a team to win this game, to come on his back after the game and tell him all the things he SHOULD have done is poor form, voice your opinions on stuff like that BEFORE the game and then what you are saying would have more merit.

Tash- you're passionate as **** and I wouldn't change that for anything.... well apart from £50k and Karen Gillan... and 1000000 rep points.

"I was nearly in tears at times last night when I saw Ben Arfa come off with what I thought was a 6 week out injury, and Ba and Cisse limping at different times in the match after niggly challenges."

I can arrange the £50k and Karen Gillan, but I'm afraid you're out of luck with the rep points.

Sick of the negativity at the moment. Seriously, what fans complain who have gone from the championship to the last 32 in Europa league in 3 years?! Howay lads!

It's clear to all we're not playing well at the moment, but we went through a period like this last year (Nov to mid Dec) where we hardly got a point, for similar reason, too many injuries and suspensions. This has been more of a problem this year with the extra games and lack of squad depth, which is something Pardew can't be blamed for.

The Ben Arfa situation was a risk, but Pardew has tried to always mix first teamers with squad players in Europa, and there aren't enough first teamers left that aren't injured. If we'd won the game and HBA had come through unscathed, no one would be complaining - hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Fact was Pards knew that a win/draw was vital, otherwise there'd be a large chance we could fail to qualify.

As a final point, I fancy us to do OK against the saints with or without HBA, we have a knack of playing better when the world seems against us.

Jesus ****ing christ can we just close this thread?

I had a bit of a rant, but I wasn't all doom and gloom about our future.

I defend Pardew through a lot, but this time I think he made a ****ty decision. Not one of my better threads, but just close it pls.

No Tash you must suffer <laugh> We are going to bump it every day for the next 6 months <devil>

To be fair we have all posted when pissed off. And we were all pissed off when we saw Benni feeling his hammy. Natural reaction, great player and we're down to the bare bones.

Tash the thing is you're right!!! Pardew is showing his true ilk this season and last season he's hopeless and history tells us that.

I'm saying it now we will get relegated within the 8 years he is here.
