I`m not blaming TP,I agree that he is a great manager and I don`t believe it`s his fault that we don`t get players in sooner,but I do maintain that leaving everything till the last moment is not the best way to do business!
I wonder if pulis is going to try and do a deal for Samaras from celtic and Snodgrass from Leeds . Fairly good and cheap squad players i remember stoke being linked with snodgrass early in the transfer window and then thought he had been signed by somebody else.
I said in many previous posts, that the transfer policy is a combination of Coates, Scholes and TcP! Now I'm not TP's biggest fan (as alot of you all now) but he contiues to thrive and relish the wheeler dealer charachter he has developed and whilst I am sure he is restricted by the clubs policies, he is just as responsible for trying to squeeze every last penny out of a deal! He leaves things to the last minute in the hope of getting a better deal (sometimes this works) and has just as much of physcological problem with players earnings has the club do!
This is typical Pulis and we all know it - we can calm down. Ideally we'd all like 5 new signings - Palacios (looks like it is a done deal), 2 strikers (Bendtner/ Jerome/ Rodellega) and a winger (SWP/ adam johnson on loan i wish) and a LB (Wayne Bridge anyone) Realistically though I think we are looking at 3 - 1 mid (Palacios) and two attack. And would that not be a good transfer window, surely he will have signed exactly where and what we want? It's just a matter of waiting... and waiting... and waiting...
And waiting to hear that... we HAVE Wilson Palacios IF we sign him fair enough but I don't like this delay in signing him. Like Huthy and Nick... I'm saying nothing more until 11:00pm tonight.
