I do like us being linked with English players. But I would be slightly concerned with some of them. If the owners are willing to spend £15-20m on the likes of Henderson, Phil Jones, Cahill, Young and Adam Johnson, then i'm all for it. It is expensive, but all of these players have a good 10+ years left in them, so its not so bad. However, there are also rumours like Joey Barton, Lee Cattermole and Downing I dont think these would be such good buys. still not terrible buys, but I think we should focus our attentions elsewhere. I am proud of this new direction LFC are taking though. If we get Henderson, Jones, Young and Johnson, that would make around 8 english players in the first team Reina Johnson Carra Jones Enrique Lucas Henderson Johnson Gerrard Young Carroll Suarez While Carra wont play for England again, it is possible that we could have 7 England internationals in the first team playing week in week out with each other.
