Getting frustrated by trying to watch dodgy slow streams, streams that dont work at all and other such nonsense. And like most of my fellow Yorkshire men dont like spending hard earned brass, but in the interests of actually seeing a whole game was thinking about splashing the cash and subscribing to IFollow. But had a few ? if anyone could take the time to answer them.

I notice on matchdays that some posters seem to have problems with IFollow in the same vein as some of the dodgy streams. Any opinions welcome,

I see you can get a season for $170 or thereabouts. Does this cover all games i,e, Cup games as well as Championship games>?

If you are overseas you can watch it, I pay £140 which covers all league games home and away for the season but not including cup games, with the exception if games are being shown in overseas counties, which is maybe 5 a season these games then are not. If however, you are in UK you can get around it by buying a VPN, which would cost you another £30 or so for the year.

What about the quality of the streaming. Do you suffer from significant buffering.

Would second this input. The streaming quality is good; I have never suffered with buffering. My only gripe is I play it on my Mac Pro but can no longer airplay it to big screen tv. I can get the sound on the TV but the live picture just goes white on both desktop and tv. This used to work fine until April. Currently trying to troubleshoot this issue

If you're internet is ok then you should be fine. I never have issues (audio issues sometimes but that's if Fletch has forgotten to plug a cable in or whatever, not picture). Seems worth it to me.

I think they've deliberately blocked it. I couldn't airplay on Saturday, but did manage it at least once last season. That's on an up=to=date Macbook Pro.

I have a friend in South Africa. He has really good pictures and sound. He had buffering problems a couple of seasons ago but it is all fine now. He says his picture is as good as 4k HD. He also gets his coverage about two minutes ahead of the UK when the games are on here as well. He thinks it is good value for money.

I've used it a few times from France, it's fine, just get on and do it!

edit: I mean I was actually in France, not vpn'ing from UK!

I tried a couple of VPNs on Saturday (France and Germany) neither seemed to give me the option to purchase a video pass for iFollow... I wonder if they're starting to restrict some known VPN IP's to prevent this...

What are they trying to restrict? Or who are they trying to restrict. Thought the idea was to sell the EFL world wide?

Thats good to hear. As an aside I tried to watch the womens euro final on the bbc. Using a VPN and a few other tricks. But live streaming was so slowt that it was a waste of time. My upload speed was 10MB and download 200MB which should have been fine. Not sure what the problem was. But I nave this issue before when doing similar.,

I'd guess they want to stop fans in UK using vpn's to pretend they're overseas?
 
I just realised I have Apple's Private Relay turned on too, so it could be that being too clever, even when a VPN is being used...

Access to fans in countries they're not legally entitled to stream to.

In my experience its usually excellent.

Some of the problems are because people are using VPNs to be able to watch them from the UK.

I feel better paying my £140 quid knowing a decent percentage goes to the club so I am a "supporter" in a small way as I make very few games.

Some games I can't get though if it's showing on TV here. That's very rare though.

Several streaming services block mirroring - I don't quite understand why. I'd be interested to know if anyone has managed to mirror iFollow this season onto a TV, even if they're actually in the country they say they're in, as opposed to touring the world via a VPN. I suspect it's just a general block on either Airplay or mirroring, rather than specific to VPNs.
