I don't think there's anything I'd miss as it's all accessible now. The pubs are pretty ****, fish and chips I can live without, all TV is online anyway.
The fish and chips here is better than just about anything I’ve eaten in the UK. We’re on the coast, the fish is fresh every day.
Most places on the British coast have top fish and chips, the cod is superb at a couple of chippies I use. No idea about inland, although I do know one back home that's also very good so they can't be all bad.
Wish that was true in the US. Even on the coast you'll see places that advertise "British style fish and chips"... But the batter is all wrong. I've not once had proper fish and chips in the US.
I live on the coast and don't eat fish and chips. We supposedly have some of the best chip shops around, according to Rick Stein and other fishy ****ers. Love fish. Just batter and chips makes me wanna sleep for about 2 days.
Probably.... But the batter I find so sickly, and a portion of chips could feed a family. Price of fish and chips is so expensive these days too. Might as well eat out tbh.
Depends where you eat . we went to the George in Fordingbridge for lunch on Monday . £9.50 for a croque Madame ( SP ) basically Cheese on toast with ham and an egg on top
