One thing popped up in the Standard that makes no sense - they have 71 players on the wage bill. Surely not - or, as is more likely, the figure has been inflated without letting on to the not inconsiderable fact a fair chunk of them are Reserves or Academy players. True, they have players they're finding hard to shift (Almunia, Bendtner, Vela, Squillaci), but that does seem like making a problem of something that isn't there.

Unlike, for the sake of argument, Djourou getting a new £50k p/w contract until 2015...

Yeah, but you won't, because your side is in free-fall, and your manager is slowly losing club, fans, and dressing room <ok>

I'll be disappointed if we don't win by at least 2 clear goals.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha you arrogant C*** HIAG, so the best Spurs team in Years thrashed by one of the worst Arsenal sides in years (so the media say), and you needed a lucky goal and a dive to register any on the board. Tells a storey

What tells a story(note correct spelling) is that you have come back to a thread that effectively closed 3 days ago, to have a stupid gloat!

or if you REALLY fancy a giggle , beat Spurs by THREE clear goals and make them look useless.

Yeah that works too , in fact i prefer that way to get a giggle .

please enlighten us , what is " effectively " closed .?
I think ill wait till the thread says " CLOSED " .

thanks

To be fair , Piskie did say he was bookmarking HIAG's comments, and HIAG rose defiantly to the challenge. All part of the fun. I would be amazed if the Spurs fan didnt pick up on some quotes if they had won 5-2.

Very good day for Arsenal, but there is a long long way to go for us. Still it has made this season a little more bearable even if we do miss out on 4th.

I see that you seem to occupy the same intellectual level as ARSEnal4 life. Please tell us what you intend to do with your life in the unlikely event that you ever grow up!

ooohh touchy eh ?

Bad day ?

There ...there .

If you want as giggle, consider this - today's result condemns Arsenal to another season of Wenger failing to address the numerous issues within the squad that he has seen them fall from title contenders to playing catch-up for a Top 4 finish.

Every mushroom cloud has a silver lining and all that...

I fear that may well be wishful thinking, HB in C!

Arsenal will probably get tonked by 'Pool next weekend, and then they have the humiliating return of AC Milan to face (for what will probably be their last CL game for quite some while), then they have the Toon and Villa, both difficult games for Arsenal.

If Whinger can keep Milan's aggregate score down to double figures, he might still manage to cling on, but I suspect his pride will force him to walk.

Shame, because, like you, I'd love him to stay at AFC until he needs a nurse to wipe his arse for him, after his half-time dump.

Well, at least you got that right. Yes, it was a bad day for us. We were tactically inept, didn't compete - basically, you wanted it more than we appeared to do. That doesn't mean all your problems, or Whingers' turning a blind eye to them, have gone away. I'm sure reality will come back and bite you on the arse very soon.

We're going to have some fun with this thread if we do beat you on Sunday

I had a good giggle taunting the Spuds as they went streaming out of the ground after the 5th goal went in <ok>

Funny thread.

It was made to ridicule us Arsenal fans and our petty arguments but 3-4 pages in and it's nothing but arguing between you Spuds. The other posts are ridiculously over-confident predictions about a hugely unpredictable match.

Thanks for the giggles.

I also had a good giggle singing 'Adebayor - what's the score ? . . . Adebayor - what's the score ?' at 5-2 <laugh>

I think we'll beat Arsenal, and do the double over them, this season. Our lads should have every confidence going into that game, whereas Arsenal will be apprehensive.

<laugh> Where is HIAG today - he's usually all over this forum like a rash.

Has something happened to upset him ? <whistle>

Been a good giggle on the Spuds board since 3.00pm on Sunday <laugh><ok>

Wenger out?

Not for me fella <ok> I think it would be a big mistake to get rid of the most successful manager in our history. Notwithstanding seven years without a trophy. . Utd went 26 years without a title - and your lot, this year marks the 51st <yikes>

Puts it into perspective.
