I agree - I think the 70% realised Dyke was being racist and stuck to their guns - there's no place for people like him in football - glad you see it like that as well
This is why they have the membership committee. They're the experts who look into the full facts. Dyke obviously didn't but thought he knew better than their recommendation because he'd just learnt that Allam has lived in Hull for a while.
Dyke needs to be voting as a fan of football and not a friend of Allam. I don't think he'd vote for a change of his club's name.
When you looked at the OSC site you will have seen the statement regarding the submission and that it will be released in due course. Having a dig at a poetry competition is a little shallow.. You could have chosen to have a bash at the 10k raised by the OSC CRY charitable fund raising in memory of Josh Fell instead. The OSC is doing what a supporters club does and that means it has to have a relationship with its football club. Without that relationship and support it cannot exist. We have a Tiger Cub Matchday Mascot Competition that will give our Junior Membership an opportunity to be a mascot at the first home game that could not succeed without the links to the club and the Tigers Trust. Friday 12/07/2015 "Hull City Official Supporters Club along with Dean Windass visited ward 33 today at Castle Hill Hospital. Dean has helped us raise money via branch visits to help provide the Teenage Cancer Unit with digital radios for the patients. We were very pleased to be able to visit the ward and meet the amazing staff who work there. Further radios will be delivered in the coming weeks. Thanks to everybody who attended a branch visit with Deano" Hull City Official Supporters Club is not in the same position as HCST, it never can be. Supporters clubs are reliant on the relationship between themselves and the football club. The trust is independent of the club, it can do and say what it wants at the moment.
Which one - Brentford FC or Manchester United? He's apparently been 'jointly' a fan of both all his life.
The OSC is beholden to the club and as Omega says, they can't go against the club/owners on any issue, their hands are tied. That said, saying nothing at all about an issue that's been so significant for the club over the past two years, is a bit odd. I'd have at least have expected some sort of bland 'looking forward to the new season, supporting the team, fan unity' type message.
Ok good. I'm a Sheffield Wednesday fan but love Hull City always watch for your resuts and what I put was true. I don't come on here much but usualy leave a comment when something big has happened. Good look next season I hope you do well. I'll be seeing you twice.
So what next then ? We need to strengthen but I fear the Allams will have no appetite to spend. We're even struggling to field a midfield 2 never mind 3 for the Ferriby game...
You are always welcome here .. by most anyway. Have a great season apart from the two obvious occasions of course.
As the new season approaches, the OSC is looking forward to working with the club for the benefit of its members and the wider supporting community.
Do you think anything will be done about Hull Tigers popping up everywhere in the marketing of the club? If Allam didn't love cutting off his nose to spite his face he stop it himself.
The continued use of Tigers this and Tigers that, after the FA ruled against the name change, seems to me to be bordering on bringing the game into disrepute.
