If you could have any player from NCFC history in their prime, to fit into our current squad, who would it be??

Reading another thread just got me thinking that Chris Sutton would be great to slot into the squad right now.

Sorry if this has been done before!!

He was not with us for long but Ashton really was a top draw player and in this current team he could do some real damage. Excellent in the air, great first touch and good finisher. Such a shame his career was cut short.

Flecky isn't my favourite ever Canary, but I think he would link up brilliantly with Holty and would give this current squad that extra something it's missing. Holt is in the mould of both Ashton and Dublin and Foxy does the Chippy Crook role, albeit not as well. However we haven't got anyone quite like Flecky in our ranks who could create a goal from nothing and was a nightmare to defend against.

Hucks is a good shout as well, Fleck was the first one to jump into my mind but having had longer to think about it I might change my mind and go for DH <ok>

I was thinking ian crook, brilliant passer of the ball, but we have so many good midfield players at the mo, same reason i wouldnt pick ruel fox.

Crook just created so much time to look and hit a pass maybe the game was a bit slower then and he was ahead of his time don't know but his ability lingers in the memory more than any other player
Dion and Hucks very close behind

Huckerby alongside Holt upfront... Such a pity we never got to see that - it would genuinely be one of the best strike partnerships in the division, if they were both in their prime (which I believe Holty is!).
