Our team is better balanced with out Gerrard so dont replace him.

As Gerrez likes to say: There is no room for sentiment in football.

Dont replace, just improve. Build on what we have.

    Suarez cannot be replaced.

My dog (Diego ) was a Border Collie when i bought him (his mum was a lovely dog) but he grew up to look very much like yours, turns out a Jack Russel had got a grip of his mum <yikes>

MITO said it best - we need to replace Suarez and Lucas.

    Top quality attacker and DM.

I also say we need a quality defender as well.

Sort these 3 positions out, and that's the spine ...

    CB - Hoewdes, Schar, N'Koulou
    DM - Carvalho, Kondogbia, Bender
ST/AM - Lacazette, Vietto, Firmino (AM)

I'm surprised we haven't been linked with Gundogan, he's my replacement for Gerrard every year in Fifa lol. - A complete midfielder, and in the more affordable bracket (rather than Muller...).

Pjanic would be an option, but Serie A isn't the greatest place to grab long-term talent from.

As for a Lucas replacement, Matuidi from PSG would be a great (but pricey) option. However, they will be wanting Pogba, so may need to raise funds - and they have FFP to deal with (which stopped them nabbing Di Maria last summer)

Border collie's are fantastic dogs, one of my favourite breeds. Jack Russels on the other hand have a lot to answer to <laugh> spreading
their seed around like they do.

Maybe we could replace Gerrard with a Border collie,it may not be as good a footballer but they are generally well disciplined and
    we could all say aawww

Not a bad idea. It might chase the Anfield cat though.

Matuidi is one of the best DM's in the world.

Apparently Commolli wanted to sign him but Kenny wanted Adam.

    Sure any of these
I'm a bit worried we are going to have to dispose of 10 players this summer and see another 6/7 in

    Lambert
    Borini
    Aspas
    Alberto
    Balotelli

Are 5 before we even start,

    Toure
    Coates

    Lucas?

Really if we start going through it we've a lot of muck we can only loan out to defray some cost

OK, but how many of those would we really need to replace? Sure, one more striker (given that Origi will be coming). Another defender? Wisdom and Ilori will be coming back (and Coates) - can one of them get into the team?

When I suggested Gundogan I got my head bitten off for suggesting such an injury prone player.

One stand-out Marco Verratti....completely ran the game for 10 man PSG at Chelsea....it wasn't a flash in the pan either, the Kid had a stormer in Barca a couple of years ago when he first signed for Paris
