Some great replies here. I've always had a love of organ music both in rock and classical so Keith Emerson would be my perfect fit... And talking of musicians I had Richard Oakes of Suede on board today heading for Maida Vale Studios...
I saw Jean Jacques Burnel of the Stranglers hit an audience member with his bass once, late seventies. Really hit him hard. I’d quite fancy a go at that.
Paul Heaton of The Beautiful South, wrote great lyrics and was a great singer, but he was a guy But Pink ......yes probably Pink
Living my band dream by proxy...Weds night at King Tuts. Won't be to everyone's taste, raw with plenty of energy, bouncing crowd and jnr bashing the hell out of his drums And fronting the stage playing bass for their last tune
Would love to have played with the Almann Brothers Band, or with one of their offshoot bands like Gov't Mule (with Warren Haynes) or with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Or, alternatively the Hamburg Blues Band with the legendary Maggie Bell.
E Street Band or the Disciples of Soul. People who know their craft, have a good time playing together and always send everyone home feeling good. Has to be backing vocals as I don't play any instruments - that's the retirement pastime sorted.
