According to the latest accounts I have seen NUFC owes Ashley £111m and the Holding Company a further £132m for a grand total of £243m.

With fairplay rules we will have to build interest in as an expense on the £111m so will start seeing a cost of £9.5m (estimate) per annum which will reduce our potential wage bill and purchasing power for future seasons. It is actually to the club's benefit that this loan gets paid off and the sooner the better.

As OT and BAK have also said, there have been no profits from ticket sails, sponsorship and premier league income and our wage bill and associated costs are too high. How on earth will it help the financial security of the club to spend all the £35m on more players when we struggle to break even with the ones we have?

Yes we need to invest in a striker and a LB but it makes sense to recruit these without breaking the bank and we have time (6 weeks) to do it. Panic time is at least five weeks away!
