It is particularly ironic to see DL and EC slate a Utd side that has ground out narrow victories whilst not playing particularly well or fluidly, yet at the same time **** themselves senseless over a Chelsea team that got the highest ever points total in the league through deliberately following and perfecting exactly that approach.
Bit harsh on Rio, he's been great this season. Still feel bad for Johnny Evans, he was great all season, but I think the last he played was away to Madrid? He had had a great game there too. Is that a 442 or a 4231?
If I had to go by squads alone the top 4 for me would be 1. City 2. Chelsea ( really close for me in terms of talent with City) 3. United 4. Arsenal Just shows why the game is never played on paper ( cliche). Gotta do it! Someties annoys me when we get to the end of the season and there is a comment from Stevie G, JOhnson, Ppe, etc that " we should be much higher in the table" same with mancinci the other day....... ya maybe we should be but we aren't, didn't do enough to warrant that.
Just a personal preference really. I honestly believe that Vidic won't get back to being fit anyway and then my prefered CB partnership becomes Jones and Evans, which is looking ahead awell I suppose. Good question on formation as if I had my way we would always play 4 4 2 and attack with wingers and entertain all the way but football has changed and a standard 4 4 2 isn't really a workable formation any more, unless your CM partnership is of the highest quality and we don't have Roy Keane anymore for that to work. This has led to the pragmatic way we play which also leads to the less than delightful way we think of the squad, which is not really the true reflection of its quality and a lot to do with how it has to play. Quite boring in a lot of matches which has misleadingly led to it being accused of being average. As for Bluffs assertion, our squad is comfortably the best in the premier league. First choice 11 when all fit? I'd accept City might shade that, we're still better than Chelsea on that front though.
O RLY? Tell me more about how you'd take Nathan Ake and Patrick Bamford over Chris Smalling and Danny Wellbeck
I've no idea but the one constant through all the sides since the 90s has been one Alex Ferguson, his management and his at times influence. I don't think you've have had half the titles with a bunch of different managers and the same players that you've had over the years, this year no different, Fergie has been the difference. Mancini failed to get results when he needed them even though he has more than arguably a better squad of players.
He has got an unfortunate face but he is going to be one hell of a player. Poor old Dalglish actually spotted one in Jones but couldn't convince him to join his revolution.
You just can't help it can you Not sure you should be calling him that. When there's no attempted wum to feed off you ain't happy are you. tells me all I need to know about the sort of fan you are NOF You got no actual opinions, just as long as you can vent you're happy yeah Not hard to understand why many don't visit this board with the likes of you on it.
Good player no doubt, doesn't belong in midfield but he's gonna be a very good CB if he keeps going the way he is. Chips in with goals too Quality expressions though, I think everyone's noticed his many panto faces
Smalling I said I thought would be good and mancs disagreed at the end of last season On this board btw. He's still a bit of a ball watcher like Rio but he has all the makings no doubt. Wellbeck, if only he had a brain to match his pace and reaction
This is pure quality: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ressions-posted-Twitter--PICTURE-SPECIAL.html
Be real Drogs, this season in squad terms we are way ahead of you, first eleven you are at least a match probably better. This may change next season when you get some of your excellent loan players back and of course depending on new purchases.
