sparkey, I don't know if that'll make it to the dressing room, but you've fired me up! I think you're right - nothing to lose now.Damage limitation is a waste of time. Our current goal difference is enough to send us down and worth a point to Burnley or anyone else for that matter. If we get beat, we get beat.
Play the best side available (minus Arter) and take it to them. I'm sick and tired of cowing down to practically everyone we play up here in the Prem. The recent Everton game was a bloody farce as far as tactics were concerned - we should have taken the points that day but just gave them away. Burnley at home earlier in the season was another example of being scared of our own shadows.
Manchester City are a class apart and we expect nothing from the game - so what? Play our game that suits us up there even if we get stuffed and take it forward to the next one at Burnley. Burnley are no great shakes and can be beaten as long as we don't go there with the same bloody inferiority complex that has tainted our season playing against broadly sides that avery little better than us.
Others may have looked better on paper but not many can match our team spirit even if we haven't quite got the talent they possess.
FFS, let's give this a go and not sink with a whimper.
