sparkey, I don't know if that'll make it to the dressing room, but you've fired me up! I think you're right - nothing to lose now.
Just comenting on points deductions for financial irregularities. With your track record, you do spring to mind. The reason points deductions were put in place was to punish teams like your good selves. If the rules had been in place the last time you went bust you'd have been out of the league. No obsession, just looking at trends. Never mind, I'm sure the yanks will dip into their piggy bank and bail you out.
Vetch.....one should always take care of the poor, lowly and sick of mind. Your use of the word 'mighty' satisfies the latter and poverty and lowly pretty well describes your situation for some time to come, I fear. we do, indeed, have some traumas but we will survive them and we can take some comfort that not all of them are of our own making.....unlike some clubs!!! By the way, why have you become such a wum these days? You used to contribute to forums in a more constructive manner.
Hi Vetch. Our on field traumas are of our own making whilst the off field ones are way above our heads, both have nothing to do with the fans. We all look, we see and we make judgements from the stuff we glean from the media etc. These forums are for chat and will always reflect inter club rivalry - nothing wrong with that. At the moment we are strong as a club although suffering on the pitch, and have turned around our desperate situation of 9/10 years ago whereas Swansea have done the opposite. You got there and did very well, but eventually blew it with the change of ownership - once again not the fans fault. Now you're ****ed as a club from the boardroom, down through the manager, staff and players right through to the fans. The second year of parachute money should ensure your survival, but I fear it'll be a long road back. In Tan we had an unpopular owner forced upon us through circumstance, but thank God we did. Since his early faux pas with club colours and sheer lack of knowledge of the game, he has literally given us our club back with his loan to equity transfers. If your current owners have a small percentage of his committment to your club as Tan has shown to us then you'll be OK - but I seriously doubt it. Sorry to be serious pal, but there you go.
I desperately want us to stay up and have another go at this level but if the worst happens, I guess it sets up two, tasty, local derbies next seaon. Could be four if our Wurzle friends are unfortunate in their attempts to get promoted, for which I wish them well.
Stop talking about other teams, you know we're supposed to be obsessing about our noisy neighbours out west.
