Oh it's not in any way, players of quality can run riot in the Championship but you don't get anything like the time on the ball you do in the prem. 90 minutes of closing down and pressing from journeyman defenders and midfielders. I reckon Defoe would get 25 in the Championship easily anyway.

You do flap some crap sometimes JC, it's lucky I like you otherwise I'd chase you round the board laughing at you. Let's agree to disagree, because I'm off out in 10 minutes <ok>

It's well known that you get more time on the ball in the Premier League, doesn't mean it's easier to play in <laugh> And no, I disagree to disagree.

In the Championship he's got more chance of playing with a strike partner, although he's better than the Championship, most premier league sides play with a single striker and one thing this season has proved beyond doubt he can't lead the line on his own. He'll spend another year in the Prem I think, but the type of striker he is has become obsolete in this league, well at least for the time being. The way Leciester have been playing it could well effect the whole way football is played in this country and could see it switching back to a more traditional style of football which would suit Defoe imo. But time is running out on his career. He'd actually be a great choice for Leicester to reinforce their attack.

Didnt explain myself very well I was thinking for the championship. I think he will develop into a better player than young Dunc which can only be good for us. I do however think they are similar players in what they do.

Ah, apologies fella. Oh Rees will be knocking on the door next season in the Champ. He'll develop better than Dunc too I agree. I think Rees is technically much better than Dunc, he just need to become a man so to speak, We'll know when he's ready, Just like Duncan did. Rees needs some senior football next season. If we stay up I'd be looking for a League 1 club for him. His level, he'll get plenty of game time which he may be lose out on in the Championship.

I`m wondering about fitness levels. I don`t mean injuries, they can happen to anybody at any time. I mean general stamina. There`d be more matches next season and half the buggers seem to be struggling to finish games now.

I can't see any of those lads you mentioned taking a 40% cut in wages and playing in our second tier. Most of them (plus perhaps Kaboul and Mannone) will either sign for Premier clubs or go abroad. Yedlin is going anyway. The irony is their replacements here will probably be e.g. Bridcutt. The Championship is a hard league to get out of, so I'd reckon it'll be 3 - 5 years - not a nice prospect.

Re read my post, I was saying those would be the guys in demand from other clubs.

The rest would struggle to get games for Premier League sides but might well to go abroad to Italy/France etc.

I think we could do it providing Sam stays, which will depend on him being financially backed by the club. He's got experience of it before and once he gets the team/squad that he wants and moulds them to his style of play I see no reason we won't be challenging.

Yes, I was agreeing with you, mate. Let's face it, Borini was reluctant to come here in the first place, so I doubt if he'd hesitate to leave. Both of us forgot to mention Lens as well. I think he'll go. I really hope we can avoid the drop, because all the good signings Sam has made will be wasted.

Apologies, read it wrong in that case.

Lens will leave regardless of which league we're in. It's obvious Sam doesn't like him, poor attitude has been mentioned. Shame because there's obviously a player in there.

Borini, I dunno. I get the impression he genuinely likes it here. I don't think any promoted clubs could afford him and I don't think many current Premier clubs to be queuing up for him apart from possibly Swansea as he's got history there. Probably expect him to go back to Italy.

Might want to let your man know the club have already confirmed every senior player has a wage cut clause in their contract of %50. We're well prepared and can actually keep most of the squad. Would we want to though?

Conflicting reports. Some say 40%. Whatever it is. Is a massive cut. One they deserve have coming.

Reckon the squad will look nowt like it does. If. We can shift them.

The report I read was the Guardian, the paper that club confirmed it to. It's rumored the mags don't have any apart from the January signings as they genuinely thought they'd be pushing for Europe <laugh>
