He is a decent manager at this level and one of the problems is that we have a small squad and didn't strengthen enough. It looks like we are going to concentrate on up and coming players either through the transfer market or our academy. That combined with friction with elements running our club are the main reason the remaining 12 months of his contract are under doubt. The goal for Davies was promotion within the three and a half years of his contract and he hasn't necessarily failed that yet. There are a lot of other competitive clubs in this division and I think most Forest fans realise that we are missing just that bit extra in the squad which may have got us promotion.
