Either way, the same result appears. The manager can't get the best out of them --> Wenger needs to go as he can't manage them. The players aren't as good as we thought --> Wenger needs to go because he's the one who thinks they are and has spent a decade building the team. You keep banging on about this ("maybe it's the players and not Wenger")... but it's Wenger who's chosen those players so either way Wenger needs to go. Personally I think it's a bit of both, but more so Wenger than the players. But Leicester and Spurs have shown how you don't need the very best of the best players in every position to challenge for the title as long as you have someone in charge who can instill good tactics, a good atmosphere etc.
Why should Spurs winning the league have any influence? Wenger cant control what Spurs do or don't do.... ...........................only Lasagne can do that.
