I have decided now......... here is what lfc should do.

Go off, try to arrange one really good forward (john Henry should get on the phone to someone like klinsmann or whoever he wants from usa and ask..is jackson martinez up to this! the do it.

Then SACK the entire transfer committee...

If he wants keep ayre for other stuff but remove him from all football matters.

Hire a technical director and leave rodgers there as coach... if he walks so much the better.

then come back in may with a clear football structure and frankly if mr de boer doesn't want to come in f him too.

get the thing right top to bottom and by that i mean first team coach is actually bottom of the list.

in theory on jan 1 the transfer committees jobs are done! should be, all targets lined up... sack the lot.

rodgers is a ead man walking so leave him to get the right man in may but move now and sort out technical directorship and org structure

I'd rather a perez who i can blame than a faceless buck passing manager and committee.

  2. So is Roy Hodgson but I don't want him at Liverpool <laugh>

As for the record, didn't Mclaren win the league with Twente for the first time so long? Roy Hodgson is more decorated than most managers because of his time in the lesser leagues too.

I'm not knocking the achievement. As I said, it doesn't mean FDB will be ****, it just makes me wary.

I would only keep Rodgers if he agrees to being the Head Coach, and not manager.

Problem is, Rodgers has a massive ego and he will continue to play political games by not playin the players who are signed for him.

If he does adapt, then fine - but I agree that we need a Sporting Director to oversee the scouting team and also some quality coaches to work on the defence and GK. A new number 2 is also needed.

  4. Agree with this. FSG had a plan but they ripped it up to suit Rodgers. That was almost criminal, if you have a plan then stick to it. By ripping it up it means we have to restart all over again if we do choose to sack Brod. Ludicrous.

  5. No way he'll agree to that after forcing FSG to scrap the DoF approach when he joined.

Roy Hodgson has hardly won anything notable in his decorated career - he won a few leagues in Scandanvia which is miles below the continental quality. Holland has some good teams in it and I admit it's still a long way away from the bigger leagues, it's still massively better than what Roy is used to (bar Italy and England, where he did nothing notable).

FDB has won leagues and done it the right way. Competing with some of the best teams in Europe in the process as well. Imagine Roy's Fulham taking on the likes of Man City.

Ajax are a big club with big expectations and FDB has delivered.

FSG should have stayed strong and true to their plan.

But it's the only way to go I'm afraid. Rodgers needs to accept this - what will he do if FSG impose it upon him? Leave? Good luck trying to get a job then mate because this how clubs operate nowadays.

    Give him the ultimatum.

I could imagine them taking on Juventus. And Atletico Madrid. And Roma and Basel and Wolfsburg.

Damn, that was the Europa League campaign?

Ah well, FDB will actually play good football, and win titles. He won't be fighting relegation and be grateful for a draw unlike Roy.

If he's saying that Ayre is the problem, is one of them Ayre? Otherwise tha wouldn't really make sense, unless Ayre is unkillable.

In all your ramblings you do actually make a good point (praise the lord!)

The manager should not define the club. Look at Swansea for example.. the chairman has the structure in place and all they do when one manager moves on is bring in another who shares a vision to play football in the same mould that the club want. Means if you get all the other jobs right, the manager just has to come in and do the tactical bit and pick players rather than try and set up a whole new identity every time one comes in.

The recruitment team then know how the cub play football and what type of players should fit, therefor doesn't matter who the manager is they can identify talent that fits the club.
