Leaving Quentin out of it (so we can have a sensible discussion about footie <laugh>), I think the future is bright for a number of English clubs ... we have some really good youngsters out on loan, Kaputska (not sure he'll stay with us), Harvey Barnes and Elliot Moore stand out - and Hamza Choudry is up for Prem 2 player of the month plus we gave Josh Gordon his first team debut in the Reindeer cup at Sheff United ... in that U-18 game above was a young lad called Tyrese Shade who looks really good at that level ...

Teams have to now, unless they're City or Chelsea and they're doing it anyway.
How much would Kane or Rashford cost if they were at other English clubs?
Spend a fraction of that and produce your own or something close to it.

Definitely going to have to be the way forward. And for the better too. Shame our crop of young English homegrown talent turned out to be a bunch of turkey's and crocks. But we've still got some good youngsters coming through the ranks. Would expect to see Reiss Nelson getting some first team action this season now that Ox has gone.

Well if premier league sides must enter u23 teams is this competition (which is a joke as it should be for league 1 and 2 teams) then at least we play the genuine youngsters. Last season, and I doubt we were alone, we put older fringe players in the side. What is the point in putting Ben Hamer in goal not one of the kids? So yeah, you're right, put the kids in and what happens happens. Hopefully some of the league one and two clubs contest the latter stages

It was Josh Knight at Utd mate. Gordon is the forward. We gave soe good young defenders, Moore, Knight, Johnson as well as Chilwell. Barnes as you say
