Ahem! Anyway... Getting back on topic... Let's be clear about this. Right now, 'Pool look in serious danger of spending a lot of time in the relegation zone. Apart from WBA, they've played some tough fixtures, and yet they still got spanked by WBA. They've got some easy fixtures coming up now, so there'll be no excuses if the losing-streak continues. I said, before the season started, that Roy Rodgers was a backwards step for 'Pool, and that all of his talk about "getting the ball back within 7 seconds" was pure and utter bollocks! In my view, 'Pool don't have as strong a side as Swansea, and there is no way that Rodgers would have been able to get top 4 with Swansea, and yet the Mousers seem to think that he'll be able to magic 'Pool a top 4 place. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Will he avoid relegation? Yes, there is every likelihood that he will, but if they are still in the relegation zone by Xmas, then I think there is a strong chance they will go down. The acid test is this: there is not one player in the 'Pool side that I would have in our starting XI. I don't think they are good enough. That is the measure of just how far 'Pool has fallen from its glory-days of the 70s and 80s.
Do you mean 'what would I like to converse about' or ' what would I like to have a conversation about' ? I don't think I have ever 'conversated' with anyone. How's the knowledge thing going?
Agger is always injured, 2011 ended early with a knee injury, whats that to do with ribs??? Sterling is no better, or worse than our own Townsend at this stage, both showing equal promise. Suarez??? you're joking, we don't get given enough penalties as it is! And all banter aside, Liverpool do not have one player I would want at the Lane...not one. Its been a very long time since I could say that granted.
Spurs and Liverpool are about on are par this season. This is over the last few years of Liverpool getting gradually worse and Spurs slightly improving. That tells you what you need to know about the respective clubs. Both will be fighting it out for Europey league places at the end of the season.
I think this is almost right, though I'd say spurs have a stronger squad than us at the moment. Both sides are struggling to implement new systems from their respective new managers, though I expect spurs to get it right before Liverpool do, due to our lack of goal scorers.
All these predictions and opinions about Spurs might just be sloshed back in the faces of those making them. I can feel that all we need is that season defining performance and we'll be flying. We've only been beaten once in seven and we haven't played well. We are winning and not playing well so just wait until form clicks in.
Spurs - last 4 years: Liverpool - Last 4 years: 2012 4th 8th 2011 5th 6th 2010 4th 7th 2009 8th 2nd I agree with you that we and Liverpool crossed over in terms of squad and first team ability/depth, but how do you put a Liverpool team that came 8th, that has now weakened and can't buy a win "on a par" with us when we are not disimilar to last year? very strange. If that was a WUM attempt it was piss poor, and if that is what you actualy think.....then I think you should stick to talking about Wenger ball on the gooner page (or "conversate" on the saints forum, they seem about your level)
