He was wrong to do it so getting sent to the stands was fair enough really, you can't raise your hands even though it was nothing. He'll probably get a fine and a match or two ban and then the world will move on. Was it Wenger who had a similar incident and got a two match ban? I could just be making that up <laugh>

I only glanced through the replies as I'm usually only interested in my fellow Mackem's views.

Do you really need me to trawl through all the **** every skunk has wrote on this thread to prove my point!

Or did my reasonable response not get through your thick head.

No that happened, token fine , 2 match ban, but he was also banned from communicating with the bench, IIRC.

Clearly the massive points deductions suggested (and various other things) were jokes, that really didn't need to be pointed out. However in amongst mostly reasonable or humorous comments there were smatterings of 'serious' comments saying that games bans and fines aren't enough.

With a written medium you can't judge intonation, all i said was that if people think there's any chance of a points deduction they're clearly off on one. Indeed the only punishments they're likely to use are (i agree) worthless, but i don't see what else the FA could do really.

Carry on with the inventive suggestions.

I think that a points deduction is the least that should happen..A more realistic option should be an automatic relegation, and even to be kicked out of the league all together..

Like has happened with Rangers, Newcastle should be demoted straight to the bottom league and immediately placed into administration. As Pardew's is a far more serious offence though, they should also have a 5 year transfer ban placed on them and no home support allowed either within these 5 years. Oh and, thinskinned, crybaby, schoolboy

NQ - 2 things. Firstly I did post that and then i noticed that it was a yawning baby rather than a crying baby so i changed it because my comment was wrong and for that i apologise to MR (not that he'll care in the slightest as its only banter but i was wrong so i should).

Second point, I'm a fan of North East football and generally comment very positively and fairly about Sunderland, I'm not tribalistic and quite like talking about Newcastle, Sunderland and Liverpool (where i live). If i only wanted to talk about Newcastle United to Newcastle fans i would use a different forum.

    Spot on Reg.
This sort of behaviour shouldn't be tolerated.
Then to try and excuse it by saying the Thunderbird puppet apologised is just laughable.

No need to apologise to me mate. <ok>
Alls fair in love and hate.

I too am a fan of NE football.
    But still hate Newcastle. :p
I too always post honestly about Newcastle and their run of luck still going on.
