The centre backs are ****ing woeful. Playing Oviedo as an attacking midfielder, considering he struggles when a man is tight on him, would be a catastrophe. Overlapping and crossing is very, very different to being in the congested CM, he has none of the attributes for that whatsoever.
Prefer to move Oviedo on, not the worst player we have been landed with from Everton, but still bears the unmistakable stamp of Moyes.
They aren't very good. But blaming them for us not getting promoted is only looking at part of the picture. There will be some games you can look at and say we lost/drew that because of the centre backs but there are others, the play off final being the most recent example, where that's not the case.
You mean cos we defended that winning goal, a high ball into the box, so well? The amount we conceded last season absolutely kept us down mate.
We could have had Maldini and Baresi in their prime and we wouldn't have won that game because we created nothing. The whole team was underperforming towards the end of the season and that's what kept us down. If we had conceded fewer goals it would have helped us but so would scoring more.
Definitely. It was painful watching some of the defending, it just didn't matter so much when were controlling games. We looked really toothless towards the end of the season
We did. We need something CM, hopefully Grigg comes good. But as soon as McGeady was struggling we were woeful. Hopefully Watmore is hot to trott as well. Big difference there potentially.
You know they are sh@te when no one comes knocking , we only have pap who we cant get rid of, it has to stop. Cattermole is the prime example, no one else rates him so we give him a 5 year contract ! Now I know MBC says Stoke wanted him but ha'way , no booker has been interested in him ever cos he's a pedestrian , skillless , injury prone, ill disciplined piece of sh@t, did I miss anything there
Oh yes yes, its cost my club £30 million plus in wages and transfer fee to have the pleasure of him being cack !
I hope they do, its only a matter of time before we rid ourselves of the inherited burdens, and as long as we are a bit more prudent in future dealings, and we could hardly be worse (as the Little General has pointed out ), we should begin to make our way steadily upwards.
