the FA Cup debacle at Blackburn had not happened. With United out and Liverpool facing a replay at Ewood Park, the winners of that drawn against the Villa in the semi-final, maybe the chance for us to reach the final again would have been a possibility. It's all 'ifs and buts' of course but a final vs Arsenal would have been fantastic. Still we will have to try again next year.

this FA cup has been one of the strangest I can remember with lots of clubs going out to teams 50+ places below them, even Man city and Chelsea.
