I am not sure about Beilsa. I am not surprised about the financial demands and we need someone to steady the ship and not be a loose cannon at the moment.

As I said earlier, I really don't know what to think with this one, it could be a brilliant stroke of genius or it could be a total unmitigated disaster.

Guys,I'm getting cold feet on this one.
It all looks great on paper but the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
I really wish we were going European.

    Nervous.

Not to surprised about the Bielsa deal not happening , Both weren't going to take any crap off each other scenario seems more likely than financial issues imo .
If Huw wants a good , qualified manager he's going to have to promise to step back from having any say in the running the team on the field and transfer issues , something that will be hard for Huw to do .

I am still hopeful it happens. When you think of some of the current managers that have either been mentored by him or have adopted his style, Pochettino and guardiola to name a couple, that style of football would suit us no end.

I read somewhere that Bielsa was not that bothered about a large salary so I wonder if the financial differences are about the money available for new players.

When he is not burning that energy on the training ground with players he is engaging with directors making sure they stick to every promise made.

Woe betide Jenkins if he successfully hires him on the basis of a vow that he then renegades on.

Anyone working with the club could be in the firing line because he takes responsibility for everyone from kit-man to hired contractor.

I wish the so called experts would keep their ****ing noses out of what is being done at our club. I seem to remember quite a few managers without PL experience doing alright, Laudrup, Mourinho, Pochetimo, Koeman, to name a few I am not sure they had any PL management experience and they haven't done to bad. So leave it to the people who know our club best.

If we only should employ British mangers with Pl experience then none of the greats would have ever managed here.

This is why , ultimiately, I think Bielsa won't be the Swansea manager.
It will be to though a pill for Jenkins to swallow and Huw knows Bielsa will walk on the drop of a "Broken Promise " hat .

If he keeps us up and then walks due to "differences" then no compo to pay , I guess Huw would be happy with that scenario .

No probs with that scenario Matt , but Bielsa has the potential to walk right away if Huw tries to wrestle a bit of power early , while breaking his word and then we've wasted even more time while trying to get another manager up and running .
All I want is somebody at least in the stands by the Man U game , with a thick skin if needed , and staying till at least seasons end .
Bielsa is good , but very volitile and Jenkins is just the type to bring volitile out of most if he doesn't get his way at times . Two lose cannons pointed at each other is not what we need right now imo .

If Bielsa does come to us , watch for a few of these players possibly coming to us in the window.
    N'Koulou : CB ....Gignac : Striker ....Mikel San Jose : DM /CB....Iturraspe : DM....
But it looks like Bielsa isn't happening , Jenkins and Morgan are returning without signing a deal .
Jenkins doesn't like how much he's asking for wages , Bielsa didn't like being told there is not much to spend in the transfer window .

If the reports are correct and they ARE flying home they must have only spoken to Bielsa.
Must have thought, turn up,have a chat and sign on the dotted line.
Curtis in charge for a while yet me thinks.

Looks like we want the ****ing cheap option. We need someone who is willing to invest in the squad.
