Read Ze Liverbirds top comment on that link.

I also admit I get irritated by some things he says in interviews. I am very much a believer that every one makes there own luck and there for it is not an excuse. Every team gets dodgy refereeing decisions, disallowed goals etc. The players and staff need to learn not to let it faze them and try to repair it/ make up for it.

Kenny inherited Poulson, Konchesky, Jovanovich, Joe Cole and Pacheco who were not doing any thing. As well as a lazy, unhappy Torres. So the squad was not all that great.

But yes, I do believe the squad we have is capable of a lot better.

Carroll, Suarez, Gerrard, Spearing, Skrtel, and when fit, Agger should play every single remaining match this season if they can. Preferably Johnson and Enrique to, even though I do trust Kelly.

Good squad, Kenny inherited ****. Konchesky, Poulsen (who many consider to the worst players in Liverpool History), a want away Torres and huge gaping holes in the first team squad.

Problem is that the players who have been bought are only slightly better than the ones replaced. As poor as Hendo and Carroll have been and their prices were vastly over what they should have been (Personally I'd have told Newcastle and Sunderland to **** off, but thats just me) at least they have some time on their side. Adam and Downing havent got that luxury and were poor buys. Unfortunatley we've replaced crap players with expensive average players.

Bloody hell, what's happened to the real David Schofield? I'm starting to agree more and more with him now he's stopped going on about pace.

The difference between Roy and Kenny (they're similar points-wise) is that Kenny has for the most part said the right things when interviewed. Plus the bonus of his history with us.
With Roy, he had no connection with the club prior to taking over here, and he continually alienated himself from the supporters in interviews.

Part of me wants to see what Dalglish does this summer now that our home-grown quota is over-flowing (with average talent.) I'd like to think he'll look to Europe for a handful of real quality buys in the next window. If you look in the right place, you can get it quite cheap. Hopefully Comolli has the ability to look beyond the Hazards and the Goetze's (which we've little to no chance of getting) and find one or two similar gems which nobody else noticed.

The other part of me is scared he'll bring in what will turn out to be more under-performing rubbish...

I agree a lot with what you say.

His past buys do not inspire confidence in his judgement. In the past we had the boot room. Themanagerhad a solid back up team, tried and tested, trustworthy and who knew what type of player Liverpool wanted. As he had been out of the game for so long, does he know himself which players are needed?

I am scared that unless we stop the rot (this is a rot despite what his supporters on here say!) we could end up 9th 10th or even worse.

That's an interesting stat, and one I'm quite surprised at. It begs the question, who signed Carroll? Dalglish or Comolli?

I am quite surprised by those stats if they are true. They cannot be coincidence. Surely Carroll must start more games.

I think Carroll was a Dalglish signing, but I suspect Carroll and Kenny have had a falling out over recent months

Yes but if Carroll is giving us the wins then Kenny should play him and put the club before anything else.

    this is quite simple..

write down your best current 11 we can field and then wirte down the team we had to pcik v wigan.

There is still no excuse to lose to that shower BUT you can see we are making assumptions about certain players that don't match reality.

When carroll signed i was pillioried for saying there was zero value in the deal for us to be honest but i think andy has shown he's not nor ever will be a 35mil player. he's a 10mil squad player at best. I didn't want adam and stated if we got him or not i didn't much care.. especially with blackpool wanting so much for him. I am dissappointed in what he's done even form low expectations. I also didn't want downing really but could see we needed someone. I fail to see why this guy is so inconsistent and downright going missing.

    My very best 11 is.

    reina
    jonhson skertl agger enrique
    Kuyt gerrard lucas henderson Bellamy
    Suarez

IMO from seeing everything we have thats the very best we could be playing as of today, no adam, no carragher, no carroll... sticking with kuyt ahead of downing.

    this is what we played.

    Reina
    flanagan carra skertl enrique
    kuyt spearing gerrard henderson downing
    suarez

now I'm sorry but with the best will in the world and side turning up to see that line up would have a lot of hope.
