Aye, some of these lot think it's already over and done with. The fancy dress lot will think they're extra cool and zany if we win as well. I really can't stand Tiger Onesies. I think i'd have them banned from the KC if I was in charge.
Cheeky begger, Im the one who goes to Italy cos I love the Ultra ethos. Im talking about damage reputation after everything we've just had in Udders. How ****ing stupid would we all look now if we had on-pitch battling? It could easily happen - there's no worse scenario for it than thousands of away fans celebrating as the home side are relegated. Remember Bratfud at BP?
Bah humbug! Let's secure automatic promotion this weekend. Then next year the Tigers will be on TV every match.
Slightly different since we've not been given their main end, unlike Bratfurd when they came to BP all them years a go. If we win and the fans don't celebrate it like a bunch of twats, or go too far over the top, and then go home or onto Leeds/ Sheffield (wherever they're off after), then we're laughing. Doubt many will stay round Barnsley afterwards anyway. Don't inflame the situation like Wednesday did (but there's a rivalry between the two, so there's a difference)>
Dont get me wrong, I hope it doesnt happen as I said. But there's nowt like seeing someone in dreamland when you're depressed to make you want to knock the smile off their face. Just saying like.
theres some big girls blouses on here...if we get a result to clinch promotion i would hope everyone just goes crazy...sod what ever anyone elses thinks...upsetting the delicate Barnsley souls 1
part of me wants watford to draw and us have to get a draw to make it that much better if we score, etc.. then i remember that is quite a big if, so just hope leicester win and its done..haha
Am I wrong in thinking Barnsley can't be relegated on Saturday? Even if they lose and Peterborough win they could still claw it back on the last day (it would require a swing in goal difference though). Therefore I wouldn't expect there to be too much discontent from them, even if we do celebrate promotion.
I think you are right. I think Barnsley play Huddersfield on the final day. If they both lose this weekend, and Barnsley beat Huddersfield I think they would swap places?
They just need to better the Peterborough and Wolves results over the next two games (all level on 51 points), not easy but not impossible.
Nope. There will be no interest in the Hull City v. Cardiff City game outside of the 2 clubs. Its a dead fixture. Expect Crystal Palace v. Peterborough and Nottingham Fofrest v. Leicester City to be the Live games on may 4th as all 4 teams have something on the line.
Fraizer Campbell is injured hasnt played for weeks. Theres talk that Nicky Maynard may make his comeback v Hull. I think you have to be up by 5pm Saturday. Im sure you will. Hope you go up. I think Leicester will get at least a draw v Watford and you to get at least a draw v Barnsley. I cant see you beating us final game if you need the points. Saying that with the title won Bellamy may be left out. Big party at the KC final game! Good luck!
I think the tubby's are at home on the Friday? Maybe Sky could save a bit by leaving teh gear up if they're planning to show that anyway?
Malky Mackay told SSN last week after the Charlton game that he had a number of players he wanted to give the final game to IF it did not matter to them. After this saturday when you play Bolton and get the trophy it will be happy holidays for many of your players i suspect. The final game could well be a Goodbye to many players on both sides.
I think Malky would have given run outs to several players who have missed out on regular football. However Bolton on Saturday and yourselves may still need points so it would be unfair to Watford and Leicester if we played below strength teams. Bellamy has been rested at various points this season so it wouldnt suprise me if he was left out of the starting line up at your place whatever your results this weekend. Im sure you will be up on Saturday and that last game will just be a party. Id expect some changes to our line up then. Easy for me to say that though - I was nervous when we were 12 clear with 4 to go!!!!!!
Agreed - a couple of thousand partying Tigers on the pitch will send the message out: HULL CITY ARE BACK! I draw the line at wrecking the goalposts, which is senselessly destructive, and the type of crass vandalism that the vermin specialise in (not that they have had many promotions on the last 20 years or so! (Flaskers: you may care to pour one out and offer it to your neighbour. Make sure you wipe the cup after they've had a drink- they may have germs etc)
For the record, I have more or less given up on 2nd, because I think you will beat Barnsley. But going along with the thread title, let's say it does go to the last day. One of my worst nightmares is for it to really matter to me that L*t*n do well, because we need their opponents to slip up. Obviously my team's success comes before anything else, so begrudingly I'd have to do it. So... IF it goes to the last day, and IF your game doesn't go well, at what point do the 20,000+ of you at the KC start actively rooting for dirty Leeds (for what I'm sure we all hope will be the first and last time)? I cannot stress strongly enough that I don't think any of the above will happen, but I thought it was an interesting question in any case.
