No idea, just saw the story about the bet he'd placed, i think he's going to win but that sort of money would be better spent elsewhere. But its pocket change to a bloke who gets around $40m a fight

I've looked at the markets and with all the options there will be mistakes but the one I think is worth a bet is Denver half time full time at 13/8. I fancy them to win under the experienced head of the best qb I've seen.

I have just backed Seattle to win outright at 11/10. If you can get 6/5 them giving up less than a field goal, that sounds fine.

I note that ‘Sports Betting’ in the Racing Post is tipping Seattle outright, although their man is already on at 11/4 that he recommended at the beginning of January. Most of his piece makes the same argument that I originally made: “defence wins Championships” – on the four occasions that the top-ranked defence has gone to the Superbowl it has delivered three times. Not sure that I am going to bother with the Total Points market having read that it is 23 over - 23 under historically (there was no Total Points on the first Superbowl).

Yeah I'd have to agree with QuarterMoon. Manning is sensational but it's not looking likely to be the weather for a classic throwing game and Seahawks are machines in defense.

    They hardly score badly either.

I've had a pretty hefty bet (for me) on Seattle at 11/10. I think their team is better all-round. Denver are made to look better than they are by Manning IMO - I think Seattle will grind them down.

Should be tight, and probably low-ish scoring. I'm tempted to take the 'unders' in total score but as you say QM, it's a bit of a bookies market.

Are you saying the points over under markets are bookies markets? If you are that is completely inaccurate.

I'd have to agree with this looks a cracking bet at 13/8. Disagree on the 'best qb' though being a Patriots fan I'm firmly in the Tom Brady camp! Manning is class though and he'll win Denver the big one tonight and bag himself MVP

Another I've backed is total points in 2nd half over 23.5

Just put on Denver to win by 7-12 points at 5/1 and Manning to score TD at anytime 15/2

Manning to score a TD? That won't happen mate. The points could be right though.

Manning gets the 'choke' tag again by some of the media but to be honest, and I watched the 1st half's action, they came a very distant 2nd in the opening quarters... They got their ass'es well and truly whooped by a very quick and hungry team and although Manning is meant to be the driving force of the Broncos I don't think it mattered which team turned up last night, the Seahawks would have beaten anyone...

Well done the Seahwaks, fully deserved...<ok>

Some thought that Superbowl XLVIII would be a blowout. Well, it was – but the Seattle Seahawks were the team that came away with the trophy after totally dominating the Denver Broncos.

Those Manning brothers must hate seeing the Seahawks in New Jersey – they have only managed eight points between them in two games this season at the MetLife Stadium. Peyton came up short in the big game again.

The Nassauboard Bank of Nigeria account should now contain £1,050. I wonder if I should play it all on Man City to beat Chelsea on Monday evening...

That boxer proved that pugilists really are all brain dead – the bookies will be dining out on his $10m.
