We'll have him back then. He couldnt quite pin down a first team start for us when we had him but he defo showed flashes of true quality. Especially against Scunthorpe and his goal against the Binners (Ipswich) and Cov
Henderson for 20 mil. Age 21, just so 10 year at top level. Playing with better players and ON THE RIGH. 10 years good service to Liverpool or 2 mil per year, seems a good deal all round to me. Must admit I do find it touching how non Liverpool fans are so concerned about Liverpools cash, the brotherhood of footy, or could it be something else?
Why bother? Footballers, like anything, are worth what someone is prepared to pay for them. The factors governing their value are varied and often specific to the buyer, i.e; club A will pay more than club B for a left back 'cos they need one more. (This why I don't understand why we're linked with every midfielder in Europe at the moment). The relative value put on players has little to do with their objective quality. How could you measure that anyway?
maybe on loan again.... Pacheco (in my opinion) is only experiance away from being in our first XI. its difficult as we have an immense central midfield, esp. now Gerrard is at full fitness. I for one hope Pacheco goes on loan (Norwich wouldn't bother me too much as he knows the players and the club so won't need to gel as much as he would any other club)
I thought Mata was pretty rubbish last night to be honest, best player on the pitch was Thiago imo, it was an awful game of football and if the ref and linesman were not complete clown's it would have been 0-0. While I would agree Henderson was poor last night he was not the only one the whole England team was garbage just hoofing the ball as far up the pitch as possible and Spain just passed it around without really going anywhere.
Actually the final cost to you will be just under 20 Million. and I'm afraid that's well over what he's worth. Still, time will tell
