True that was a good achievement but the praise he got compared to Brendan Rogers for example was ridiculous. I think both our teams want Moyes as our manager when Redknapp/Wenger eventually leave.

  2. I take it we wouldn't be interested in Benitez?

I still think Ancelotti would give us a lot more credibility in Europe. If we could reach an agreement with him.

  5. I still have hopes of us getting Mourhino.

Fabio Capello will be free this summer. Steve McLaren is free right now..

  7. Knowing us, we'd appoint Capello, and the Wally With The Brolly would be his assistant <doh>

Yes. Unless, as has been hinted at, the mega-rich Russian club, Anzhi make him an offer he can't refuse.

He's Italian though, so he should be expecting it.

I'd take Capello immediately. Brilliant club manager, he has just slightly damaged his reputation with England, but still has the best win % of an England manager (I think).

He plays some exceptionally dull stuff at club level, though.
    Extremely effective, but boring.
The Steve Davis of managers, if you will.

Hmm, I've never really seen him manage a club, I'm a bit young, but I know he's won loads. I'd still rather we play good footie tho so ok <ok>

He won the league with Real Madrid in 06/07, but they still sacked him for being too defensive.

I think also, he may have to take a rather large "haircut" on the reported £6 odd mill a year that England are paying him.

I would also love to see Hoddle back, but not as manager, maybe as assistant.

    Jurgen?

More than reasonable points, but even after a bit of contemplation, I'll stick with mine.

He's bought loads of boneheads...that Leeds striker for a start.

My points lead to everything you say in your last para. On that we agree! <cheers>
