Who gives a ****e if they had a penalty? They should've had a goal, period. Terry is a ****er, I'll happily admit that but nothing to do with the ghost goal against Spurs Not taking the high ground Page, if JT is found guilty then I'll join you all in ripping him to shreds but for now he's innocent according to the law. Suarez was found guilty and punished for it.
Please don't keep peddling this line. He was found guilty by the FA to suit their own ends. To equate it with a judgement in a court of law is just plain wrong.
You do realise you're the only set of fans who actually believe he is innocent? That should tell you how ridiculous it looks. He is a proven racist and was punished for doing so, that is a fact.
As saint pointed out the FA aren't the law. The law are faceless individuals that kindly allow an alleged racist time to complete his club's season and to represent his country in the euros before facing judgement. The FA disciplinary panel are also faceless individuals that did'nt afford another(at the time)alleged racist the same luxury, they banned him for two months(8 games).
Who says it's a fact? Did you see the evidence? Did you read the report (as opposed to the selective quotes given by the media)? If so, do you honestly believe that that case would have even got through the door of a courtroom?
To be honest no, I don't know the in's and out's. All I know is Suarez was charged with racially abusing Evra. He tried to justify what he had said but after living in Europe for a long period of time, surely you'd know the social conduct of the word 'negro' over here?
It's far more complicated than that. The linguistic experts said that Suarez's explanation of his usage was perfectly reasonable, but the panel chose to ignore their testimony. The whole thing read as though they'd already decided on the outcome and selected the evidence to support this and ignored evidence to the contrary. Do you have blind faith in the FA's decision making generally? I don't think many people do, yet all we hear is "the FA found him guilty so he must be". The FA has a self serving agenda which has little to do with justice, as their appeal against the Rooney ban, amongst many other things, illustrates.
You're 100% correct in terms of the FA and the media overhyping situations like this, not good for the game whatsoever. Like I said I haven't read into it and you've given me a bit of insight but it doesn't change my opinion on Suarez because I still believe him biting somebody was disgusting plus the handball situation. Anyway, I'm off, far too late to be debating . Laters fellas
No, you're dead right there. I wouldn't presume to know what goes on in another man's head. My point is that the evidence against him would never stand up in a court of law, and a person is considered innocent until proven otherwise. On topic. I think Drogba is easily one of the best strikers of the last ten years. Five years ago I'd have bitten your hand off if he was offered. I just think he's too old now for a team that is trying to build for the future, considering his wage demands.
